What kind of Fin set ups for the Karmen?

Our Karmen FSP 2X are all equipped with 5 high quality FCS II Boxes. Only the 9’10 is equipped with a 2+1 assembly.

• Tri Fin. The ideal assembly to link the turns. It allows you to better manage harder angles and to reduce the radius of the curves because the Board handles it better. You will be able to break your trajectories without risking an uncontrollable stall because the Fins will stall/stall differently from each other in general. Choose a set of FCS II Performer, or a set of Carver for more control and speed in your turns.

• The Quad set up. Preferable on the larger sizes, 8’4, 8’9 and 9’2, to gain acceleration, speed, and hold off the tail. The sides do the grip and acceleration; and the trailing Fins take care of the pivot, drive and offer some grip.

• The 2+1. Exclusively on the 9’10. The Center Fin will give you more drive on this big Board. To gain in maneuverability, prefer a smaller Center Fin like FCS II Clique or Connect in 6” or 7”. You will also gain in smoothness on the passage from one rail to the other, to send rollers.

Reminder of recommended FCS2 Center Fin sizes:

• XS for those under 55 kg.
• S for 55 kg – 70 kg.
• M for 65 kg – 80 kg.
• L for 75 kg – 90 kg.
• XL for those over 85 kg.

Please note that a SUPer that wants more speed, better carving, cleaner surfing and improved grip will be one size larger than the recommended size.
