GEAR: THE ASSETS OF THE KUBE !!!

In our range of wing boards, the Kube is one of the boards that must bring together the most qualities to excel in its program. To perform in freestyle, it must facilitate rotations, go fast, be tolerant and make re-launches super easy, all in a construction that is both solid and dynamic. Here are the solutions provided by our shaper to make the Kube THE freestyle board to take everything apart.
In order to increase the rotational capacity of the rider, our shaper made the Kube as short as possible: from 3’7 to 4’2 !!! The maneuverability is remarkable and is felt from the first meters of flight. The Kube offers a direct response to each initiation of a maneuver. It’s absolutely phenomenal.
Its second strong point is take-off. In freestyle we spend our time sending moves and having to relaunch a lot. For this L’Ours has designed a double hull. If you take a good look at the Kube, you will see a narrow and very fast hull, close to the one of a Lethal, topped with a wider deck for easy landings and re-launches. It’s the ultimate combo. In addition, its thick tail allows you to project yourself when launching and take off immediately.
When freestyling, to go from an “almost make” to a ”make”, you need practice but also a tolerant board. In this regard, a lot of work has been done on the hull and on the facets:
- The hull shape with a double concave nose dampens the touchdowns by dissipating energy and guiding the board in the axis.
- The facets on the rails prevent losing speed at the slightest toucdown, whether in flight or in a maneuver with a lot of angle.
A good freestyle board is also a board whose construction ensures dynamism and flawless resistance to the constraints of the most radical moves. The Kube is equipped with an innovative technology called FSP Pro. This full carbon PVC sandwich offers the best dynamism while preserving strength, at an incredible weight. The 3K carbon fiber that fully covers the board boosts its performance. It is clearly much more lively without being fragile.
