The innovations brought to the 4th generation of the Strutless make its concept not only a must-have in kite foiling, but also a great kite for wave riding. We explain why!

First, you have its concept structure with an inflatable leading edge but without inflatable struts. The laminar flow of the wind on its profile is ensured by 3 discreet and light fiber battens which limit drag by 30%. A clear performance gain that is measured in speed of movement and fluidity of the kite in the wind window. A treat in kite foiling as in surf kiting where the liveliness of your kite is essential.

Then, two major developments on the Strutless V4 make it possible to obtain the direct and instinctive piloting which produces fast, powerful and dynamic surfing:

Reinforced profile hold

The 3 fiber battens give the Strutless V4 all the potential of a kite with a classic structure with struts, plus its insane glide. The addition of battens near the tips on this 4th generation increases maneuverability and top speed thanks to excellent profile hold when changing direction. You do not suffer from any deformation when the Strutless is used during maneuvers. As a result, it reacts without delay whatever its position in the wind window.

You also benefit from additional comfort when shocking and sheeting in, the responses of the kite is direct and smooth. Its depower is as fluid and progressive as on an inflatable 3 struts kite. The relaunch ability is further boosted by the tip’s battens on this version which was already great in this regard.

Scalable ratios

The ratio of the Strutless is scaled according to its kite size to adapt to what we do in the wind range of each size. The ratios are between 3.8 for the smallest size and 6 for the largest (a classic kite is between 4.2 and 4.5).

The reduced ratio of small sizes boosts handling. A real spinning top! This playful temperament is great in waves for surfing and in tricks, whether in kite foiling or kiting. The low ratio power background and its very small turn radius increase handling tenfold. Ideal for restarting in an instant or recovering from an error easily.
