GEAR: MOODRIVE, TWO WORLDS IN ONE!

We commonly tend to divide the practice of surfing into two distinct worlds. A modern one with radical and powerful surfing on small boards and an old school one where pure glide and smooth maneuvering prevail. Longboarding is naturally associated with this second current. However, the Moodrive manages to bring the log into modernity without abandoning its foundations. We explain how 😉 !

For many, longboarding means giving up radical and powerful turns from the tail. But just giving up is not really in our shaper’s temperament ;). The objective that guided the development of the Moodrive was simple: to shape a versatile longboard which allows to radicalize the maneuvers at will. The execution, not as simple ;), is now giving a result beyond our shaper’s own expectations.

The Moodrive has become a benchmark for surfers who want to enjoy the best of both worlds.

The volume, the rocker, the rails, the tail and the nose, everything has been completely redesigned by L’Ours to obtain a radical board which loves curves AND which allows endless nose-rides. For starters, its large rocker for a longboard allows you to easily go down the wave and have a bluffing reactivity from the tail. Its diamond tail reinforces this feeling of maneuverability with a direct triggering of curves.

The handling is reinforced by a total grip thanks to the marked rails. A combo that allows you to go for radical moves, even more as the Moodrive accelerates in record time with its competition board outline. Its round nose provides all the lift necessary to make crazy nose-rides and enjoy beautiful old school sessions. The volume of the board is a perfect balance between comfort and radicality.

Its versatility allows you to score in small conditions as well as in more punchy waves. Depending on the waves you are used to surfing and your preferences, you have the choice between two different technos, the EPS which is the favorite techno of surfers looking for perfs in small to medium waves, or the WCKF which offers the best strength / performance ratio in tough conditions.
