Feedback from Sébastien, who completed his quiver of front wings with a Ypra Surf-Freestyle in size S.

A quiver for Surf-Freestyle
“Hey, just dropping a quick review of the Ypra Surf-Freestyle v3 in size S. Here’s my usual setup:"
- Stunt 4’6
- Droid Aramid X 4m
- Fluid XS
- Weight: 70 kg
- Ypra Surf-Freestyle S Stab
As soon as the wind hits 15 knots, this is my setup, and I recently added the Surf-Freestyle v3 in size S.”
Getting used to the Ypra Surf-Freestyle V3 after the Fluid V3
“Switching from 710 to 620 in surface area with the SF’s super compact 65cm wingspan took a bit of adjustment. Takeoff felt slightly trickier than with the Fluid XS at first, but after a few sessions, I barely notice it anymore. It really hit me today at the end of my session when I was still flying and taking off in the lightest breeze —totally mind-blowing.”
A very playful feeling on the water
“This setup feels super fun on the water—really playful. The carving is insane, especially with the SF stab, such a stoke, I loved it 🤩! It’s definitely more responsive to foot pressure, but that’s expected, and I’m getting used to it.
There’s a bit less glide compared to the Fluid, but with the added acceleration and speed, free-flying and surfing still feel amazing.”
Insane pop and jumps
“Biggest highlight? The jumps and pop are just next level… I didn’t really know what to expect from this front wing, but honestly, I’m stoked! It’s super solid in surf, surprisingly decent in free-fly mode on swell (even though that’s not its main thing), absolutely killer for jumps, and crazy fast when you’re pushing it. I was also really impressed with how stable and confidence-boosting it feels underfoot—you can push it to serious speeds.
Still testing, but I’m fully hooked on this Surf-Freestyle v3 S 620🤙”
