Romain, Edouard and César had a few test sessions as a family in wing foiling with the different sizes of the Ypra Surf-Freestyle.

A front wing that’s both lively and predictable

“After testing all the sizes in different conditions, here are our feelings (Romain, 45 years old, 1m74, 65kg, César, 11 years old, 1m40, 45kg and Edouard, 16 years old, 1m80, 65kg). The Ypra Surf-Freestyle is a must-have wing in your quiver. It is so lively and predictable at the same time that from the first reach, you already start to love it!”

Speed, glide and pop

“In a steady wind (25 knots), the 900 is ultra smooth and pleasant to sail. It pumps really well, much like a Curve H, and it glides like an Ypra-S. The 800 is very close but we gain in top speed which is quite appreciable! For Freestyle we started with the 700 which is adapted to our sizes, it pops with incredible ease. And it repops like never crazy with the same ease. The 600 is a real rocket, we feel that it wants to carve and pop which makes it a perfect wing for lightweights or energetic riders.”

A Curve H with more stamina

“In the videos I use the 700 which is my favorite 😁 and the most adapted to my weight. This wing is a pure delight: it takes off earlier than a Ypra-S, it retains the liveliness of the latter. It’s a Curve H with more stamina thanks to its shortened fuselage which is great for riders looking for liveliness and freestyle, without prohibiting ease of takeoff (it takes off in steps like a stairway, it’s really crazy) and surfing.
