The GONG team makes a sparkling demonstration of the effectiveness of its new HM107 Team Series mast dedicated to speed and racing!

With 3 places in the final out of 4 possible, a victory for Francesco Cappuzzo, a second place for Julien Rattotti and solid domination by Bastien Escofet in the qualifying rounds, the GONG team riders confirm their talent in racing and perfect tune of their equipment.

Wing foiler: Julien, GONG Team Rider, with a Racer FSP Pro, a Droid UPE Aramid wing, an HM107 mast, a Ypra-S front wing and a Sirus stab.

Standard equipment

The equipment of our team riders is exclusively composed of standard production gear, available to everyone or soon to be, like the Racer FSP Pro, you’ll find online in our shop shortly. This is the whole purpose for our Team Series ranges: To offer enthusiasts the equipment that allows them to achieve the highest performances and experience the most intense sensations in wing foiling. There is no difference between the equipment with which Malo wins the inaugural event of the Wave Tour in Cape Verde and the equipment you buy in our shop for your sessions. No more than there is for the equipment with which Francesco won the final in Leucate in Freefly-Slalom.

In this last discipline, which with pure Racing events, is a real showcase of pure performance, the equipment has an eminently important role. Barring a racing incident, the winner of these events is the combination of the in-form rider with the most efficient equipment. The mast being an absolutely determining element, due to the acceleration and the speed that its profile allows to achieve, on the one hand, and its role in transmitting the rider’s steering instructions and feedback from the foil, on the one hand. Combining finesse, dynamism, rigidity and durability is a serious challenge for a product development division. This is why we did not rush into putting our HM107 mast on the market, which followed a long development phase and countless tests in free sessions and in competition.

The result, validated by an office of hydro dynamicists specializing in renowned races such as the America’s Cup and the Ultim Challenge, is now confirmed by our team on the wing foil tour. A result of which we are very proud. Above all, we are very happy to be able to share the fruits of this work, directly in our shop, with all fans of speed, free racing or top-level racing!
