Feedback on the 6 shapes that make up our longboard range with Evelin Neves.
The diversity of styles and profiles in longboarding calls for offering very varied shapes. The GONG range of longboards covers all needs, from the most specific to the most versatile ones with the Moodrive, the Ten Blues, the Zero, the Moblog, the Incredible and the Pampa. Evelin, our longboard specialist, summarizes in a few lines the models she favors depending on the conditions and her needs.

Pampa: “I love it in any conditions but I use it the most when the waves are big or very fast. I really like how the board responds under my feet. Very reactive with a lot of drive. It’s a fast board and obviously amazing for nose rides.”
Pampa custom: “This custom is one size up from the production model I have so I use it in smaller conditions. It’s great on waves peeling off at a fast pace. The waves can be super small and up to around one meter. It’s an all-time board for log purists like myself.”
Zero: “This is my go-to board for bigger and faster waves. It takes off from afar and flies down the face. The sensation of glide is timeless and you can engage in super nice carves.”

Moodrive: “This is a more versatile board. Super reactive and awesome for manoeuvers. Next to beautiful carves you can also score incredible nose rides with it. I love this shape when the conditions are on with real waves, as it allows for modern and versatile surfing.”
Ten Blues: “This shape is closer to a classic log but also allows a good mix of noses and beautiful carves. It has more volume so slightly smaller conditions are perfect for this board. In those conditions it can do it all. Much like the Moodrive it gives you nice versatility and great handling when the goal is not to be just on the nose.”
Incredible Ten: “The no brainer choice when the waves are knee high! But this board does way more than drop the tiniest waves you can imagine. It fares great on average waves with stylish turns and amazing speed. It has a lot of stability and it’s very easy for learning cross steps and nose rides. It’s the perfect old school log.”
Moblog: “It’s a high performance noserider that’s also great in turns. You can camp on the nose and stay there over amazing distances. This board can handle all types of conditions but will shine the most in calm waves and sizes up to waist to chest high.”
