After dock start sesh with the Fluid XL-H, Nicolas was able to carry on with a wing sesh on the same foil with the new SuperPower 2023. Here is his feedback.

“I first had a dock start test this afternoon with the Fluid XL-H and what do I see coming out of my last work meeting? Trees that move a little! Let’s go! SuperPower 6m 2023, Lethal 4’10, Fluid XL-H, titanium fuselage and stab Pro Fluid H 45.

On the water, the wind barely reached 11/12 knots and was blowing on/off (inland spot), sometimes gusts up to 14/15… In short, not great conditions but enough to have fun. Normally in these conditions I am sailing with a Neutra v2 6m and Veloce XL-T. First impressions, the front wing necessarily requires a bit more effort and patience to take off. There is no miracle, there is no point in wanting to launch the flight too early. Patience, glide and an extra 2 or 3 wing pumps to fly…

And this is where the magic happens…

The feel of the glide is much purer, silent, the stance is solid, no wobbling. Regarding the wing, the new 6m SuperPower is quite surprising. I needed a little time to adapt to really feel the power in the handles and set the wing properly.

In flight it is very playful

It rolls naturally from side to side in the tacks, it gives a great fluidity to the transitions… The only thing that put me off on this first session was the 360s, the Fluid H goes so fast that I got back to normal before my wing and messed up the end of my 360?.

To be fair, in this session of only 30 min, I ‘ve only been able to try 2 of them! It’s just a matter of getting used to it I guess. Tomorrow normally I have the conditions to test the Neutra and the smaller Fluid H!”
