FEEDBACK: STRUTLESS

The Strutless kites in large sizes (13, 15, 17 and 19) have a progressively larger aspect ratio to optimize glide in light wind conditions. This feature along with the fundamental characteristics of this kite allow you to really have fun under 10 knots as Cyril explains on our forum.

“I was able to test the 15m yesterday on a tiki board. I managed to start at around 8 knots. The wind must then have risen to around 12-13 knots max I think.
A nice glide.
I can feel a real and beautiful evolution compared to the 12m V1 and 17m V2. More feline, very reactive for its surface (65cm bar). Just a slightly unpleasant feeling at the bar at times: vibrations at the rear, you can feel the kite moving around. It fades by sheeting in. Power completely killed by shocking (I have a Race bar with a lot of depower). Didn’t have the opportunity to test the relaunch, but I don’t worry knowing the V1-V2.
It holds up in the air without flinching in 7 knots.
It can easily be recovered in a downloop in the event of a windfall. The heading is very good. Personally, I find the flight not as pleasant as a foil kite, but it is not the same construction, and especially not the same price (and we can afford to swim all the time we want when crashing the kite, not the case with a foil kite…). On the other hand, we gain a lot of reactivity (kiteloops, downloops).
In short, I am very satisfied with this new acquisition (I have very rarely been disappointed with GONG kites anyway).
Thank you Mr GONG ?”
