“Just 4 sessions on the waveometer, 2 not very interesting and were for just getting out and trying my combo, Zuma 6’6 and L Foil. I’m 78kg.
To sum it up. To start off, the finish, foil packing perfect, you’re not lacking anything (for the Board you got a pair of straps and for the foil you got everything, the foil case, users manual and tool, all simple and well done).
It’s easy to get the hang of once you’re on it, it’s really stable once you get used to the mini Board, even in choppy water. In the first take-off don’t be afraid of getting in the whitewater if you have the depth, for it will help you to get up easier and have your first flights very mellow.
After I got pretty quick into regular take-offs in same conditions (knee high). It took-off quite early, ad the flight gets faster, it’s a little more intense but that’s the good part of it. My last session the conditions were mediocre (enthuse conditions I wouldn’t even have pulled out the SUP), onshore wind 5/8 kts, a few knee high waves, sometimes bigger, and that is when I saw the potential of the SUP Foil in these conditions. I got in my longest rides with some real turns, just crazy!
