Higher, stronger, faster, these are François’s first impressions after his session with the new Neutra UPE. You haven’t seen the best of winging yet! 😉

Wing foiler: Malo, GONG team rider, with a Neutra UPE Wing.

“20 knots average… 17/23 knots. Neutra UPE, Ypra S and Freestyle stab. A combo for demanding riders who like to combine high-quality average speed of movement with precise curves and transitions. When I got in the water, I initially had the feeling of being a bit overpowered… weird… In fact, the thing is that I haven’t had any wind for weeks, and I was sailing a lot in 12 knots with the Sirus lately… Well, let’s say it feels weird to go faaaaast and still have torque to play with.

5 minutes later I was smiling… it’s a top combo🔥

Clearly, with the Neutra UPE, my average speed of movement has gone up in these wind conditions, and at an average of 23/24 knots, in my opinion, you have to be in 3.5m2 without hesitating for a second… even with the Ypra LS which isn’t the easiest FW to take off with. The lift of the Neutra UPE is just impressive compared to my classic Neutra, even compared to the Neutra RH, I think I have more latitude in flight…. I have a humble level in jumping but my basic moves went better than usual. As if I had time to better adjust landing. My friends on the beach that day confirmed that I was going higher than usual. So my feelings seem to be right.

The Neutra UPE generates speed constantly.

It seems everything is accelerated… transitions, heading, jumps, jibes, etc… Combined with the super rigid Freestyle stab, it’s just great!!! Really great…. The Freestyle 41 has less glide in the bumps compared to the Fluid H 42 for example, but its rigidity and handling are exemplary.

In short, I loved this combo in this wind range.

I felt like I was riding better than usual. The Neutra UPE pushes me upwards in every sense of the word. Despite rough water offshore, Vmax at 24.69 knots and average speed of movement with upwind/downwind and bump surfing at almost 25 km/h…. 👌🏼 It’s not a wing for beginners, but those who want to push their level upwards… clearly, the UPE is the lethal weapon. I still have to test it in the high end… but in this case, I think that we should quickly go one size down 🚀 🙏🏼🔥”
