Should you choose a Neutra or a Plus when setting up your 2023 quiver? A question raised and answered by Gabriel on our Facebook group.

“I had the Neutra 4.5m for 4 months and the Plus 5m for 1 month. I tested them both in low, mid and high range, freeride and waves.

The Plus

The Plus is not just a beginner wing. It is easy, stable and powerful. It’s almost a supercharged Neutra v2. It is great in light wind conditions because it is powerful and efficient in pumping. It holds up well in strong winds but will become a bit physical. It’s all right in the waves, easy in transition. In short, an easy, accessible and hassle-free wing. Having a Droid and Neutra from the 2023 range, I had forgotten the interest of windows. I did not use the windows of the 2022 wings but those of the Plus 2023 are great. The addition of the 3rd window behind the central strut changes everything. We can enjoy the landscape and see the other riders.

The Neutra

With the Neutra we enter another world. We have a wing that is much more efficient but also much more exclusive. It is more technical in pumping but once in the air, it accelerates strongly. It’s more precise and will not forgive mistakes. You go higher in jumps with your speed. In waves, it’s super stable, a treat. And what lightness, a real step forward, nothing to do with the wings 2022. So in the end, the 2 are great. The Plus for power, comfort and visibility and the Neutra for performance, speed and neutrality in surfing.
