The must have accessory when you want to spend as much time in the water as possible seen by Fred, GONG ambassador and early adopter of the harness

“I have been riding a wing for 3 years and have been hooked on my wing ever since. Initially I used a windsurf harness, then a kitesurf one, then I used a hook in 3D printing and finally a wing harness from another brand. I like to sail overpowered to be sure of flying and also long hours, minimum 1h30, sometimes up to 5h 😅 🔥, and often 2 to 5 times or more a week.😎 It allows me to gather a maximum of experience and pleasure on the water. This is why from the start the harness has been essential for me, otherwise I would never keep up physically (I’m 42 years old).
Clearly the GONG harness is the best I have tested so far.
It is both very simple, flexible, comfortable and light. I took it in L for a size of 187cm for 87kg, with the spreader bar in size 10. It is very well thought out, the metal clip is super practical, the back reinforcement is just right, wide enough to have support and comfort but not too big to minimize bulk. There is a sheathed line behind to attach the releasable wing and board leashes.
It really allows you to be in full control and optimize piloting.
We go upwind like never before in a wave, freeride or slalom session, we can concentrate on the critical phases of surfing, jumps, jibes, tacks because we have saved energy before thanks to the harness. Associated with the GONG harness line, it is a treat that attaches to the loops provided for this purpose on all GONG wings. It is a no brainer. You just need to be careful with the hook when climbing on the board. It’s just a matter of good habits though. I have never hit or damaged my board with it. I really advise everyone to sail with a harness, from beginner to pro. It really changes the game when you like to spend time on the water like I do.”
