FEEDBACK : GONG KITE 10,2 UNIK 2020 !!!

“Wow… this Gong Unik 2020! What a Kite! Actually, it’s a very… “surprising” Kite. In this term, we have to understand that we don’t realize how a Kite can be so efficient with such small sizes in relation to the recorded wind, and be so far above its wind range at the same time! I’m talking about the 10’2 m2 which is a Kite made mainly for light winds, and rather for a speedcrossing, freestyle program. I use it from 8 to 9 knots of wind with my MATATA equipped with fins, and you can go even lower with the foil … (I am 83 kg). I can’t believe, as soon as it flies, we can take to the water. You just have to send the Kite out fairly dry, drop it, and then you accelerate in one go, carried by the apparent wind that’s created. The speed reached is then unsuspected for this size with so little wind! It remains very stiff with its new fabric, well wedged, and makes you pass through the wind holes without any problem. When jibing, be careful to engage the Kite with the Bar in tandem for a fast rotation if you wish; otherwise, it will be smooth… For my part, for the waves, I prefer the faster FreeWave. The UNIK is a very stable Kite, ideal for learning, or speedcrossing and will delight freestylers also in jumps and tricks with a good pop. The construction is concrete, but note that you have to inflate the Kite to get the full potential. The multiple settings will satisfy the experts, but the original settings with the red balls on the lines already allow you to use this Kite in multiple conditions. Trim is also very effective in case of oversold or unexpected gusts. In short, another ideal product for fun in 8-9 knots of wind, or even less in foil…up to 20-25 knots. Thanks again to GONG for all these quality toys provided for years at an affordable price!” Find this kite on the online shop. Kiteboarder : Jean-Pierre and his GONG Kite 10,2m2 Unik 2020.
