FEEDBACK: FRONT WING VELOCE PRO CLEAR XL
Switching the front wing under your wing board multiplies the sensations in flight and contributes considerably to your progress. Sébastien gives us a little feedback on his impressions after testing his new Veloce XL.
“Finally it arrived ! The Veloce XL Front Wing ! Packaging at the top as usual. Just perfect.
Conditions: 25/30 knots (tramontane wind) with aluminum mast (I’m impatiently waiting for the carbon), Front Wing Veloce XL, Veloce 47 Stab, HIPE 5’1 for 85L and the weight of the winger, 90kgs with the suit.
“My first impressions”
Here are my first impressions compared to the Curve XL-T (I’m not talking about the Rise XL used 3 times before switching to the XL-T): The Veloce XL is everything I expected from a high ratio.
- What I liked most
It crosses the waves easily, crazy surfing, crazy downwind, top acceleration.
- What I didn’t like
I suspected we can not have everything: a takeoff that requires to readjust and some wind (I guess it’s normal, there is a margin between 2100 and 1600… ), a different pumping (more on the stab for my part (Veloce 47)) and a different lift, lower at low speed (normal but crazy pumping).
“In surfing and in acceleration it goes super fast”
On the other hand in surfing and in acceleration when the foil is flat it goes super fast and we feel that it wants to accelerate constantly. It crosses the waves “like butter”. In navigation I did not look for speed but more sensations in the surf, dw and transitions (really easier).
Bottom line: Adopted without hesitation. Good ride everyone!”
