FEEDBACK: FLUID H V3

A great transition for Stéphane, who switched from his Curve H V2 to the Fluid H V3.
Wingfoiler: Malo, GONG team rider, with a Lethal FSP Pro, Neutra Aramid X and HM85 mast setup, Fluid H V3 with a Ypra Surf-Freestyle stab.
Upgrading from the Curve V2 to the Fluid V3
“Switching from Curve V2 to Fluid V3: what else?
On the recommendation of many fellow riders, I chose the Fluid V3, and to sum up... it's definitely worth it! I highly recommend it!
Tested with the Fluid M H v3 and matching stabilizer, using a 4.5 Aramid Neutra in 18-22 knot winds. Lethal 70L board, rider weight 83kg.
It's quite amazing to feel both securely locked in on a rail and able to easily adjust your direction very quickly and... very smoothly!
I find it even more suitable for surfing in the Mediterranean, as the swell moves fast, and with the Fluid... it's perfect for keeping up... while retaining the key strengths of the Curve H v2 (notably low-speed takeoff).”
Forgiveness and rail-to-rail
“It stalls at veeery low speed. Surprising for a much thinner profile.
The rail-to-rail is just perfect in my opinion. You can carve exactly how you want without losing control.
What blew me away the most is how effortlessly you can drop down the wave without getting thrown off as you pick up speed. Precision in foot placement is key, but the FW responds instantly, going exactly where you tell it to, without resistance—like slicing through butter 🤩 🚀 🚀
I believe the thinner profile is balanced out by a bit more surface area (the Curve H v3 in S was 710 cm², while the Fluid H v3 in S is 800 cm²).
I also find it much easier to catch up to a wave ahead and overtake it—not just because of the extra speed, but also because the FW is less affected by the backflow of water surging up behind the wave you're trying to pass.”
Upwind, glide and performance
“With my feet locked in the straps, it drives upwind and powers through effortlessly.
The glide is top-notch, making tacks just as easy as with the Curve H v2.
The V3 stabilizer is way smaller than my old ones… we’re talking 130 cm² to 163 cm² from S to L… I expected it to feel a lot more unstable or twitchy, but not at all!
Bottom line, this FW wing is seriously high-performance… perfect for helping intermediate riders level up.
A real success—the V2 to V3 transition is spot on!
I’m stoked.
But seriously, when is GONG Galaxy going to stop pushing the limits of their foils every year?
At this pace, they’ll have a tough time topping this next year!"
