Feedback of Hannes after 3 days of winging with the new Droid in UPE technology.
“Small feedback on Droid UPE 6.0 and sale of Superpower V3 23 6&7. 5m² 90+kg, 57 years, experienced, no jumps, no big tricks. Finally, I spent 3 days winging in Holland (Ijsselmeer).
In short: It is a dream how this wing can be moved.
My passion for riding even the smallest waves is a true joy. This is mainly due to the outstanding handles and the shape of the front handle and of course the weight. All other (standard) maneuvers succeed as if by magic. I was a bit scared as it has no windows…..I didn’t really notice that while flying. The stiff profile allows for extremely effective pumping and flying at around 10 knots at my weight of over 90 kg (Fluid XXL-S, stab Fluid-h 45 cm). For this I always needed the SP 7.5. Logically you have to pull it through properly 6 or 7 times. But it works. It can also be driven at full throttle. The speed seems “pretty fast” to me.
