Feedback of Warrick who found with the larger size of the Droid the wing to have fun in light wind summer days on his home spot.

“My 2023 Droid 6.5m. Wow.

The most extraordinary big wing I have ever ridden.

It is SO light and SO tight that it flies in almost nothing. And the pumping is astonishing. I’ve started getting the feel of this more vertical pumping and what blows my mind is how much forward thrust the profile seems to develop in pumping. It’s weird and it is amazing – the launch happens so quickly! The upwind is great, the top speed feels very strong but the responsiveness and instant control is really special for something of this size. Honestly, I have ridden 5 different wings of 6m and above from 3 different brands, and this is BY FAR the most responsive, best upwind, easiest to pump and most intuitive big wing of them all.

I absolutely love this wing. Everything I was hoping for – this will be my beautiful light summer evening wing to fly across the bay, carving and playing. Awesome. Today was the first day that had a little flavor of spring – cold, but bright and sunny with just a breeze to tickle the water’s surface. What a beautiful day .

I was a little concerned with getting stuck out in the bay with no wind so I took a bigger board than normal to make the paddle in super easy… and a big foil to try to fly early…. But no need – with this rig and the Droid it was just smooth like butter with a little honey mixed in ?.

HIPE First in 5’11 (my “friends and family board”), Curve XL-T with Fluid H45 powered by Droid 2023 6.5m. Caviar. I am certain I could have been on a much smaller Fluid today but the chill character of the Curve was cool today. As ever, thank you GONG people ?”
