For the purpose of testing how it would work in wing foiling, Aurélien shared with us a video of his takeoffs with the Curve H 6XL that he usually uses in flat start.

The usual “wow!!!” effect when first using a giant front wing in wing foiling was there for Aurélien. Totally amazed by the easy takeoff on his HIPE Cruzader in barely 5 knots! The glide of a giant front wing like the Curve H then carries him comfortably over a very calm body of water.

“Given my weight, my Curve H 6XL is only part of my quiver for flat starts / pumping. But some asked me what it was like in wing foiling 😂. So I took the time to get out a camera for this incoherent test. Aberrant, delusional, insanely easy takeoff. I couldn’t help but come across a sailing boat so that you can see the air present 😉.

That was for the fun of the simplicity of takeoff, but my Sirus 156 remains more suited to my size in the ultra light winds. The takeoff in 2 pumping strokes is at the end of the video.”
