For kite foiling in the waves, the Front Wing Curve offers both great sensations in carves and tolerance in the tightest turns. Essential qualities for those who like to play in the waves like Bastien who shares his first impressions of his new foil.

“When the gear got delivered I could directly feel how qualitative the transport bag was, it’s a treat.”

The assembly of the elements could not be easier, everything fits together well and easily. A single head-screw for all the screws: a big plus! Once assembled, no play, good rigidity of the mast. The set is quite heavy, but coming from a hyper light full carbon set I expected it.

First test, I placed the foil in the center of the US Rails: it lifts! A lot of forward footing, I’m not comfortable. It must be said that I navigate my usual foil with a little back foot, I find navigation in the waves more natural compared to surfing.

I put the foil back for a second test, almost to the max. The balance is much better, I have a little more front foot but it’s rather balanced: we’re going to test that! Good test in the pond, no waves, I’m having fun with the chop.

First hour: it’s stable.

The take-off is less progressive than my usual foil but given the thickness of the profile it’s logical, I will have to test a thinner profile. In straight line navigation nothing to say, it’s stable, it doesn’t waver, easy. It whistles, well it’s the price to pay to have less dangerous trailing edges. ? I might post that later.

Strong turn: it doesn’t turn as short, but it still turns very quickly. The time to find the same marks and I have fun in this chop linking turns. Compared to other brands of foils that I have been able to test, the foil is significantly more manageable without losing stability.

The result is that of all the foils I have tested it is one of the best.

It is a little less maneuverable than my old foil but very playful.”
