The latest addition to the range is already winning everyone over for its comfort and rail-to-rail performance! Here are the first impressions from François, GONG ambassador.

Foiler: Malo, GONG Team Rider, on the Cruzader Squash FSP Pro and Neutra V2 lowkite.

The Squash for more stability

“Great session on the Squash 5'7, 95 liters for my 85 kg. Perfect for fun conditions with non-rotational jumps.

I want to do carves above all, and I ride multiple disciplines. That’s why I don’t look for an overly specialized board.

I was coming from the Cruzader Point 2025, which I loved, and as soon as I saw the shape of this Squash, I ordered it right away.

What I wanted this time was a very stable board, but still high-performing and easy to ride.

The Cruz Point was that too, but it could get a bit unstable when kneeling in choppy conditions… Easy once you’re used to it, but I’m getting lazy… I also wanted a board I could use for lowkite.

I got the conditions to test the Squash both in wing and LK, and it totally delivers 🙏.”

The Cruzader Squash in lowkite

“In LK you obviously need the minimum level to take off with this kind of board. Even though it glides really well, you still need to be in the right wind range, medium to high, to lift off easily.

Once in the air, it’s pure joy. Small and much easier to pump than an 8'3, even though that NOTW is a rocket despite its length.”

The Cruzader Squash in wing foiling

“In winging, I had a session with some nice waves. With its 23” width at the deck, I was a bit worried about the rail-to-rail in the wave, maybe touching rails.

It’s true that at first it feels strange having such a wide platform when you’re used to something narrower. And since it’s easy to kneel on, you might think it’s a super-forgiving board, almost for improving beginners...

But careful, behind that romantic façade, she loves to rock 😍 🤘.

I found it very stiff on the water. The concave deck gives a better foil feel and a stiffer, more dynamic feedback.

That design probably makes both rails stiffer than on a flat deck.

You feel it immediately on the water. It’s striking.”

Comfort and performances

“For its volume and width, the board is really dynamic. I could link all my favorite turns without ever touching the rails in the wave.

So I’m at least as performant as on my Cruz Point, but with the kneeling comfort of a Mint.

Of course, I moved my back strap slightly off-center, perfect for surfing.

I placed my front straps in the middle, and with my Veloce M, top plate position 4 is spot on for what I like: control, performance, agility.

In flight, it’s in the same league as the Cruz Point. It slices through the wind.

Plus, it just looks great on the beach and in the water. I love riding something I find visually beautiful.

Takeoff is super easy. It glides, it lifts… I think the low end must be pretty insane for a 5'7, but I’ll confirm that later.

For now, it’s validated for wing sessions in 15–18 knots and 18–35 knots.

And in LK from 14–20 knots with the 1300 Veloce V3.

I needed gusts around 18–20 to take of. No chance at 14–15 knots with my weight and the Plus 4m V2.

To be continued my friends 🤙”
