Recap of a wing foil session in ultra-light wind with Enzo (75 kg), riding a Cruzader Point LW 6’9, paired with a Veloce HDW XL front wing, a Veloce XL stab, and a Droid 5m.
Wing foiler: Clément, GONG team rider, with a Neutra UPE Aramid X, Cruzader Point LW FSP Pro and Sirus L setup with Veloce V3 stab.
Taking off in barely no wind
“I chose this setup for light wind (5 knots and up). Today’s goal: practice takeoffs in these conditions—45 minutes in the water, 3 takeoffs, averaging 3-4 knots with gusts peaking at 6 knots… and it works! It takes serious effort, but it flies. Below 5 knots, staying up without non-stop pumping gets tricky. (Ended up swimming back with the offshore breeze🤣).”
The perfect setup for summer sessions
“Super stoked on this setup! I thought it would take me much longer to get flying in such light wind, but the Cruzader glides incredibly well and pumps efficiently, allowing for an early takeoff. Can’t wait to enjoy those perfect summer sessions in 5 to 10 knots on a glassy sea!”
