FEEDBACK: CRUZADER FSP PRO 5’6 XL

The smallest size of the Cruzader offers an unprecedented range of use for experienced wing foilers.
The disruptive board in ultra light conditions is also a phenomenon in stronger winds as we can read in this feedback about the Cruzader 5’6 shared by Vincent.
“I had a first session on the Cruzader 5’6 XL with 17/20 knots of winds and a decent onshore swell. I sailed a Droid UPE 5m wing and the Ypra-S M.
No problem with stability, I used my wing (as I usually do) to gain a bit of stability in the kneeling phase. Once the two handles are grabbed, the gliding begins, and the stability when standing up is equivalent to that of my Lethal 4’10.
Once upright and with traction in the wing, you immediately feel the effectiveness of the board’s shape, despite a thin and small foil, the takeoff was no problem.
Once in the air, as expected, the board is super nervous.
The width is so reduced that to obtain an equivalence in maximum width, I would have to ride a Lemon 4’3 of 35 L or a Lethal 4’4 of 45 L, which, of course, is no longer suitable for my age and at my close to 90 kg…
With this XL version, I really have room and jibes or tacks are as simple as on a Lethal 4’10.
As the foil boxes are long and placed pretty forward, I don’t feel the length of the board, so pumping is not a problem. For information, the boxes are located 13 cm further forward than on my Lethal, and what’s more, they are longer, which adds 10 cm more.
The icing on the cake is the position of the rear strap which I can shift towards the rail thanks to the insert positions intended for SUP foiling. Having never been perfectly comfortable surfing or speeding with the rear strap centered, I had to try this position, and I loved it. No discomfort, even much greater control.
In short, I had been waiting for it for a long time and I was not disappointed.
I can’t wait to have the big winter conditions to test in larger swells, or to have the future HM 107 mast to go full tilt with a crazy angle.”
