FEEDBACK : 7'3 Couine Marie surf !!!

“Living far from the coast (600 km) and having the opportunity to surf for one to two weeks per year, I was looking for an alternative to Rental Boards (expensive in the long run) that is both practical, adapted to a level novice surfing, and not too bulky. I discovered the GONG Couine Marie Surfboards by doing some research on the net before leaving this summer for a 2 week stay with family on the Mediterranean (on a surf spot known for this seafront). The seriousness of the design and the price of this board convinced me. Making 1m75 for 68 kg, I decided to order the 7’3 to take her on our trip by telling myself that she can still find her place in the car without the wife getting her panties in a twist and hoping to have some surfable waves on the big blue in August (I know, keep hope alive …). The god Poseidon, being on my side, I was able to surf for two consecutive days waves of 1 to 3 feet, certainly not powerful, but providential given the destination and the time of year. My 7’3 Couine Marie has perfectly fulfilled its role. Thanks to its generous volume, it makes rowing and take-off very easy, even in small waves. After a year without surfing, I managed to take the take-off on my first wave without problems. I even had a lot easier getting waves than a local on a mini-malibu. The Board shows a surprising rigidity after inflation and is much more manageable than the malibu’s I used to rent. I took the opportunity to start my eight year old son on it. He was able to take his first waves standing and was reassured by the inflatable side of the Board that makes it less traumatic in case of shock than a resin Board. In short, we loved this Board that allows those who do not have a large level and who live far from the sea to surf when the opportunity arises without being too cumbersome. Congratulations to GONG for the design of these Boards and the principle of Direct Sales that makes the price-quality ratio of this material unbeatable!”
