New leg of the Wing Tour 2023 which stopped by François, GONG ambassador in Vendée. A first session with the Plus 2023 for François who shares his feedback on our Facebook page:

“Wind blowing at 14/18 knots, side-on, choppy and lots of people. I inflate this Plus, which at first glance seems smaller to me than a 5m… Optical effect? Well I was sailing with the Pulse the day before… it must play a role.

It is light in hand

I feel immediately that it will be less rigid than a Neutra, which happens to be its program! Its distribution of tension at the trailing edge is different, and lets the wind pass at the trailing edge. On the water, the pumping feels like a Neutra 2022, easy, and intuitive. The pumping that we know of the 2022 range so I found that it takes off very easily, and once in the air, indeed, the wing is a very smooth operator, light, dynamic and very pleasant to use. I had my harness but I was barely hooked in, it’s so light and it doesn’t flap! I think the heading is very good, and its speed too.

A few bumps, wing in neutral, works great

It flies in neutral without having to think about it, and I tell myself at this precise moment, that for a rider in a progression phase it’d be an awesome wing… Still, I’m having tons of fun with it myself! The windows are ideally placed this year, and with crowds on the spot, it’s really safe, it’s the icing on the cake, just perfectly placed. And it’s very reassuring and practical not to have to lift the wing every minute or before the jibe for example.

Ease and performance will be there

In short, this shape is a great success, whether for a beginner or an experienced one who wants windows on his wing. I forgot, the tacks are a formality just like with the Neutra 2023. The wing is just an extension of your hands and there’s no drag. What a comfortable transition!! It’s easier and faster during the maneuver.
