The HIPE First Tour stops at our ambassador GONG Hell June who took the opportunity to introduce his son to wing foiling. Here is his feedback:

Wing foiler: Titouan, GONG staff, on the HIPE First with the Wing Plus and the Rise Foil.

“Some people in this Facebook group will laugh and think “yeah, Hell June giving us feedback on a beginner’s pack, that’s not going to teach us much”… Well, I’m the one putting this feedback into writing but it’s my son who was on the board… First session for him who had never touched a wing before today. Well, he knew how to foil behind a boat and he can kitesurf, do wakeboarding and other board sports.

So from my sharp eye as a coach this is what I can tell. My son, who’s 1m85 for 75 kgs, was on the HIPE First 5’11, even if he needed a couple of minutes to find his balance in the choppy conditions of the bay of Bourgneuf, I could tell he was very quickly comfortable and stable on the board… the Plus 5m² is a super well balanced wing, easy, with just the power you need to take off easily with a Rise XL under your feet… after the phase of understanding how to maintain the wing’s position above your head, progress came very quickly …

I leave you the rest in pictures: 1st stabilized flight after about 20 attempts, so ending with a big smile!

I took the opportunity to do a few tacks with it, I found the gear super healthy, easy to prepare/rig, the best to start without breaking the bank!”
