NEWS: IN THE FINAL OF THE FRENCH CHAMPIONSHIP!

Congratulations to Pierre, GONG ambassador in Vendée, who reached the final of the French SUP Surfing Championship!

The event took place this weekend on the Girondin spot of Montalivet. Pierre entered the event with his Alley FSP Pro production model with which he’s used to shred on his home spot. The four men final ended with very close heat totals and a third place for Pierre. Here is his reaction:

“I am very happy with this result. I had already been in the final of the French Championship but I had finished 4th. Now I am on the podium, just a few points behind first place. The first day of the event was quite windy but the finals day was very clean with some massive sets! I felt great on my board. Rather than rewarding the number of maneuvers per wave, the judges considered commitment and difficulty. For instance, I got 5.6 points for a single but very solid top turn on a very hollow wave. Waves and a style of surfing that suited me perfectly, especially with the Alley under my feet.“

In the Junior category, Titouan Pajot, team rider GONG, also reached the final by finishing second, two weeks after his performance in the European championship from which he returned home with the title of vice-champion.
