Discover the GONG V3 foil range—crafted by our engineers and hydrodynamics pros to take both glide and ease-of-use to the next level. You’ll feel the difference with smoother rides, extra lift, and a hassle-free setup thanks to our new auto-lock system. Whether it’s for freeride, surf, race, or freestyle, the V3 foils deliver unmatched performance and enhanced stability. Fewer constraints, more sensations: experience a truly unique ride.
A range divided into three categories: Perf Series, Team Series, and Pro Team Series.
If you're new to wing foiling, the Perf Series is your best bet for leveling up—especially the X-Over or Ascent. They’re super smooth and forgiving, making progress easy and consistent, while still giving you great upwind drive and freefly flow. Perfect for sessions full of stoke and fun.
X-Over or Ascent?
New to foiling altogether? The X-Over front wing is your no-brainer pick. It takes off effortlessly, forgives piloting mistakes, and feels super stable—making it the perfect first foil. It’s a top seller for a reason: thousands have had their first flights with the X-Over. And with its impressive versatility, it’ll carry you way beyond the beginner moves.
If you’ve got some foiling experience—maybe from kite foiling—or if you're already confident with your wing foil takeoffs, the Ascent gives you room to grow with a livelier shape. You’ll feel a real boost in speed and agility, without losing that smooth, predictable feel. It’s especially great in light wind, making it easy to pop out of the water and get flying.

Choosing the right size to start
GONG V3 foils are built for extra lift and better glide, meaning you can size down by about 200 cm² compared to the older V2 models. Here’s what we recommend for getting started in wing foiling:
When learning to foil, having enough surface area in your front wing is key—it helps you take off early and stay in the air, even at low speeds. Beginners should go for bigger wings to get more stability and forgiveness. With the V3 range, something between 1,300 and 1,800 cm² usually does the trick, depending on your weight and feel.
Recommended sizes by rider weight:
- 70 kg rider: Go for a 1,300–1,500 cm² front wing for easy takeoff and solid stability.
- 85 kg rider: Aim for 1,500–1,700 cm² for extra lift and a smoother ride.
- 100 kg rider: Choose 1,700–1,800 cm² to boost takeoff and ride with confidence.
We emphasize that the V3 foil parts have significantly boosted foil performance, especially during takeoff. So stick to these recommendations and don’t rely on outdated references found online.
