Backside air reverse

The backside air reverse is a 360 which as its name suggests is done backside. Using the lip to take off, this trick is made partially in the air, or even completely for the more ambitious, and then, it’s a full rotation.

Coming strong and packed in on the lip because we need speed and to be dynamic for the pop. The arms are in position to engage the rotation. Just before the tail takes off the lip, initiate the rotation with the shoulders and the look. Imagine yourself doing a roller. You leave the lip to go on this extreme path in the air. It’s a good way to visualize the direction of rotation. You’ll just go higher, stronger, and further to do, at least, a 180 in the air.

For a very aerial backside air reverse, it’s essential to get some help from the wind or have some serious speed to create apparent wind. Onshore wind conditions are a valuable asset so that the board sticks to your feet during the rotation.

By turning at least 180°, you land with your board slipping on the nose. Do your best to conserve that glide while you finish your 360 by turning your shoulders again. To try out absolutely! The result will surprise you, or not… 😉
