Presentation
The Mob is the explosive board for waves that require acceleration and super glide in soft sections.
It offers a modern style based on powerful snaps, cut backs, 360°, and good big airs in sluggish waves, even windy and multipeaks.
This supportive and compact shape is full of dynamism and relaunch: a real turbo and a delight in the waves which do not deliver that boost that we need to perform beautiful maneuvers.
When rowing, it delivers despite its compactness with its fast rocker. Its nose remains fluid and supportive to pass the waves easily. And she's cool waiting with her relatively wide ends. This is what allows you to reduce the length and have a more responsive and playful board.
In surfing, she leaves early for her size with its wide rear that the wave pushes and its nose that slides in the water.
From the first pump you feel it light and efficient thanks to its high natural acceleration. A pro will make it a rocket to score on slow days. An intermediate will love this instant speed to properly exploit the sections.
Once launched, it is a board with a wide range that will be at ease in curves and tricks. The best: we accelerate hard and burn everything on a big carve, to restart immediately. Delectable.
Patrice Guénolé has optimized the Mob year after year to propel its possibilities. The objective was to give it more liveliness by lightening the nose and pinching the tail, without changing its program.
The rail to rail of this Mob is exceptional. We wind from one rail to the other like on a surfboard. It is super easy to handle, contrary to what one might imagine by looking at its outline. But like all good shapes, it’s in the details that the performance is found.
We offer it in 8 sizes : 7’2, 7’6 7’11 and 8’3 with a version for each size Cool with volume and a version Rad less literate for the more experienced who want to push the Mob concept to its limits.

Buying guide
For whom?
Two possibilities:
1/ You want the board to take everything apart in longboard waves, but without using a longboard. The Mob has this speed resource to perform in soft waves like an Alley would in hollow waves.
You therefore have a top physical and technical level and you will take it without excess volume to be able to move it violently.
2/ You are pretty cool. The longboard means nothing to you, but you want a board that works in soft waves, the Mob in larger volume is for you!
You may also want an all-purpose board, not technical if you don't ask for verticality, compact to fit in the car, very stable when paddling and surfing, and with a modern look.
The Mob allows high performance in a very specific wave register. But its big plus is that it allows everyone to surf a small board without any difficulty.
Unlike its flat counterparts, the Mob has rocker. It is not complicated to take off.
For what ?
Going from 0 to 100 in a few meters in soft waves: that’s his thing.
The Mob is betting everything on acceleration. So it’s the ideal board for windy waves.
Its outline is compact but harmonious and without excess, which gives it great fluidity. But it also naturally orients it towards so-called horizontal moves: snaps, airs, floaters, 360°.
This new Mob allows you to achieve verticality and complete curves in very tight radii. It’s really a very maneuverable board.
Another strong point of this new version: it holds up at high speed and in hollow waves. It does not saturate. Which opens up an almost complete register of conditions.
What size?
- The 7’2 90L is great for pros weighing 70kg max.
- The 7’2 100L is perfect for cool riders weighing 70kg max.
- The 7’6 of 105L is great for pros weighing 80kg max.
- The 7’6 120L is perfect for cool riders weighing 80kg max.
- The 7’11 of 125L is ideal for sporty people weighing 70 to 90kg.
- The 7’11 140L is super comfortable for cool riders weighing 70 to 90kg.
- The 8’3 of 145L is ideal for sporty people weighing over 80kg.
- The 8’3 160L is super comfortable for cool riders over 80kg.

Which quiver friends?
We like the Mob in the low beach: in small waves, in chop, in windy waves. This is where it outperforms other boards.
So obviously it will encroach on the longboards. But a longboarder may also want compactness from time to time. He may encounter waves in which there is little room to evolve, surprise sections to be treated opportunistically. The Mob will then prevail!
Quivers that go well, from small waves to big waves:
Mob + Karmen or Alley: it’s the quiver of pure shortSUPer.
NFA + Mob + Karmen: this is the most extensive quiver in terms of feelings and ranges of use.
A 12’ + Mob + Alley: it’s also an immense quiver in terms of feelings and ranges of use.
The Mob will complete a surf quiver quite easily with its performance in small waves. But we will often hesitate to take it because it is the program of a good fish like the Pie or a Matata. A surfer will definitely want to spend time on their surfboards rather than on a SUP.
What fin assembly?
This very wide tail board is only available in quad, a very quick assembly for those with growing thighs.
All the classic arrangements work, no monstrous gain by going towards exoticism. A good set of rigid Performers will be perfect. Switch to Carvers if you want more directional stability (control).
The Toledos and the Wilsons are top-notch, the Fannings are more powerful for equal size. But these fins are only sold in fine sorting sets. To be completed with retail quad rears.
Take your recommended fin size or just above. No less. You're going to need grip to use it.
Reminder of the recommended FCS2 fin sizes:
- XS for those under 55 kg / 120 Lbs
- S for 55 kg – 70 kg / 120 Lbs – 155 Lbs
- M for 65 kg – 80 kg / 145 Lbs – 175 Lbs
- L for 75 kg – 90 kg / 165 Lbs – 200 Lbs
- XL for those over 85 kg / 190 Lbs
Note that before the shape, it is the material of the fins that determines the performance. Remember that the steeper the fin, the more it works. And yes a pro needs good drifts, but an amateur also needs to go fast because speed is the basis of all maneuvers.
Never take shorter, except possibly when kiting.
A surfer who wants more speed, makes nicer turns, surfs more cleanly, works on his speed, will take a size larger than the recommended size.
In a setup that mixes sets, consider that the lateral ones provide grip and acceleration; and the rears do the pivot, the drive and a little grip. So focus on beautiful ears suited to your need for power and speed.
Quad rears with a flat internal face have more grip and less slippage. A clearer grip, but a Vmax and a handling a bit below the rounded internal faces (20/80 for example). Favor flat sides despite everything.
And quad tails that are too big completely block the maneuverability of your board, giving you the impression that its tail “floats” too much in curves. Detestable. Better too small than too big.
What length of paddle?
Your size, no more, no less, ideally in Pro for weight. You can take a little shorter if you are oriented towards radical driving. Some cut it at eyebrow height on shortboards. We don't recommend it on the Mob, and we even advise you to go up a little in size on longer board lengths for a cooler tempo.
Which leash?
Take the length of your board: 7’ to 10’.
Less shoulder size, reduced diameter (6 mm) will give you a lot of speed. Above, you must have 7mm minimum.
Check its condition before each session and change it every year. This is your life jacket.
Equipments
The Mob FSP Pro is equipped with a high-end 5mm deckpad which offers both optimal grip and exceptional comfort.
At the rear, the 3D Function Tail Pad provides “intelligent” contact thanks to its groovings and openings specially designed to improve proprioception: your feet remain planted and constantly receive the information necessary for precise surfing.
Up front, the Front Pad Ridge Traction guarantees absolute grip and surgically precise control, while maintaining comfortable cushioning.
With this multi-zone deckpad, the new Mob offers contact that is precise, comfortable and perfectly controlled.
The ergonomic carrying handle on the deck makes it easy to handle the board outside of the water. It also allows you to take the board out of the water with one hand, which is very practical!
This handle incorporates the depressurization screw, which protects it and avoids having to place it separately in a dedicated reinforcement which would weigh down the board. A durable and light investment.
The depressurization screw is automatic. This screw is equipped with a membrane which allows air to circulate between the heart of the board and the ambient air but remains impermeable to water. It will manage common pressure variations between the outside and inside of your board. The durability gain is considerable, without you having to worry about it. However, we recommend that you never leave your board in the sun and remove the depressurization screw when traveling by plane.
The Mob is equipped with 4 FCS 2 boxes. The anchoring is firm and therefore the most efficient and solid. It is simply the highest standard of fin box on the market. You can therefore mount all types of quad fins according to your desires and your surfing style by accessing an almost infinite catalog of high-end fins.
The leash plug is almost indestructible since it is glued into the high density PVC sandwich of the deck. The assurance of not losing your board in the stones for example, nor of seeing water seep through the plug because the PVC of the sandwich is waterproof.

Delivery
Delivery time
We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.
The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.
We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.
Shipping fees
Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.
Tracking your package
Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.
Carriers
We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.
For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.
For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.
For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.
Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.

Receipt of your product
Upon delivery, check the condition of your package in the presence of the carrier. A complete explanation email on the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.
Despite our requirements and all the care we take in the packaging and protection of your product, transport hazards may occur, and your product may suffer more or less significant transport damage.
Note that the products are protected in their carton. If you have any doubts, simply refuse delivery and contact us.
