The HIPE First is the perfect board for beginners and advanced wing and SUP foilers.

On land, it inflates and stores in minutes and is shock-proof, making it great for traveling. And it's super lightweight.

• In wing, it is very easy, you will progress very quickly.
• In SUP foil, it's great for starting out and progressing when you're already a good paddler.

What size?

The HIPE First is a board dedicated to learning . Several volumes are available to meet the needs of each practitioner according to their level, physical condition and use. In wing:

Beginner

You can take enough volume to float widely, of the order of your weight + 60 = volume.+

• Example : I weigh 80kg + 60 = L to float. Which means that with 140L and more I will be easy.

Comfort

You can take enough volume to float, in the order of your weight + 30 = volume.

• Example : I weigh 80kg + 30 = 110L to float. Which means that with 110L and more I will be easy, provided I have a good level in wing.

A small table that sums it all up:

In SUP foiling , you absolutely must have a positive volume balance. Your weight plus that of the board must be less than the volume of the board. Don't hesitate to add a little volume and width if you are unsure of your support. And be careful of the row effect which will make you paddle like a top if you are not a good SUP player.

You can take enough volume to float, in the order of your weight + 50 = volume.

• Example : I weigh 80kg + 50 = 120L to float. Which means that with a 5'11 and 135L I will be comfortable to start.

Which quiver?

The HIPE First will be perfect for enjoying the wind on a wing or small waves on a SUP foil.

You can of course complement it with a range of stand up paddleboards without foils . And surfboards for days when the waves are unsuitable for foiling.  

Which foil wings?

In wing

Beginners will have the fastest progression with an XL ENont wing (regardless of their size between 50kg and 90kg) and a 45cm Stab Rise . Above 90kg, an XXL ENont wing is a plus for early takeoff.

If you are shy, start with ENont Wing Rise .

If you are good, start with ENont Wing X-Over.

For beginners

In the Rise or X-Over range: wings that are extremely easy and efficient at low speed

• M for 50kg -> 65kg and all wind forces.
• L for 65kg -> 75kg and all wind forces.
• XL for 75kg -> 100kg and all wind forces.
• XXL for 100kg -> 120kg and wind less than 15 knots.

The size of the ENont wing determines the speed/lift ratio. The smaller the wing, the faster you will go, but you will be uncomfortable at low speeds.

The stabs play a major role. They determine the foil's stability and help with its lift, but at the expense of the foil's maximum speed.

So thick stabs are slower than thin stabs, but are much more buoyant, and therefore effective at low speeds and calm conditions. A larger stab span prevents loss of control but decreases maneuverability.

In SUP foil

Beginners will have the fastest progression with an XL ENont wing (regardless of their size between 50kg and 90kg) and a 45cm Stab Rise . Above 90kg, an XXL ENont wing is a plus for early takeoff.

If you have very small waves or a large size, start with ENont Wing Rise.

If you are good, start in ENont Wing X-Over, which is faster.

For beginners

In the Rise or X-Over range: wings that are extremely easy and efficient at low speed

• M for 50kg -> 65kg or powerful waves.
• L for 65kg -> 75kg.
• XL for 75kg -> 100kg or soft waves.
• XXL for 100kg -> 120kg or very soft waves.

Which foil mast?

In wing

During your first sessions, you can feel reassured with a short mast (65cm). The falls on the first flights will be less impressive. But apart ENom when launching, you will have everything to gain with a long mast (85cm and more).

More length = more margin = easier = more efficient.

Unlike kite foiling, in wing foiling you don't oppose the wing much because it pulls less. So you put less of an angle to the wind on the mast. So controlling a large mast in wing foiling isn't a problem. And since the boards used are much bigger than in kite foiling, the inertia is greater. As a result, your foil is less crazy. Everything is calmer. So don't be aENaid of a long mast.

In choppy waters, in transitions, in slack waters, a large mast will be ten times more comfortable. It will prevent you ENom touching and give you the necessary margin of height for all your actions.

Of course the must is the monobloc in 85cm or 100cm . Absolutely magical. But the 85cm or 95cm aluminum ones are great too.
We recommend 85cm for ENeestyle and surfing, and longer for ENeeride and racing for comfort.

In SUP foil

The 65cm aluminum mast is perfect. If you're a pro, upgrade to the 70cm monobloc : masterful.

For downwinders you may prefer the 75cm Alu option to give yourself a little margin.

Foil positioning?

For GONG foils, place the plate in the center of the US rails to start and move it forward a few centimeters when you attack the transitions (a sign of good progress).

The further you move it forward, the more it raises the board. The further you move it back, the more the nose of the board dives.

Be careful not to move it too far forward. We often tend not to let the back foot work, especially when coming ENom a kitefoil. However, moving the foil back a little forces you to put more weight on the back foot and gives a more harmonious attitude and reduces the effort.

What length of paddle?

If you want to use the HIPE First as a SUP foil, you will need a paddle between your height and your height +10cm.

Which leash?

Take a 6' of 7mm minimum diameter.

Check its condition before each session and change it every year. It's your life jacket.

Good to know:

Never leave your board in the sun, especially an inflatable board, and even less a black carbon plate which will heat up very quickly. You risk seeing it peel off!!!

Do not screw further than the bottom of the box, otherwise you will go through the skin of the inflatable. We deliver non-opening US squares, but be careful.

Never let your foil board get knocked around in the waves, especially at the shore. You must protect it ENom major stresses. A wave that carries your board and rolls it can cause serious damage.

The HIPE First comes with a composite plate to attach the foil. This new composite plate is equipped with dual entry boxes to easily install and adjust the foil. You present the foil with the squares already mounted on the plate that you slide into the rails without disassembling them, you slide the foil in, you tighten the 4 screws and off you go sailing. At GONG, we decided to let you enjoy this super practical innovation on this board as well despite its ultra-low price. Adjusting the foil is very easy and more precise with the adjustment information written on the plate. The handle in the carbon plate placed on the hull is a real comfort gain for launching and carrying over short distances. And it has no impact on the rigidity and resistance of our plate, which are flawless. The 5 mm thick 3D Double Diamond Pad is specially designed to be comfortable and efficient. The large diameter leash ring is the strongest on the market. It is essential for use in wing or SUP foil. The supplied double action quick inflation pump is super efficient to be the first in the water. All the screws to mount your GONG Alu Foil are supplied with the board. To facilitate the assembly of the foil, our new US fixing squares are connected by a carbon fiber rod and delivered with the board. With the Smart Connection System (SCS), you save time when mounting the foil and the adjustment is precise. No more risk of losing your squares: you leave them screwed on the plate and slide them into the US rails through the 4 new insertion holes. Nothing more to disassemble : just tighten the screws and fire!!! A repair kit is also included in case of damage (please note that the kit is delivered without glue, which you can easily find in your DIY store: PVC glue). Note that we have the components of your board in stock to easily repair it. Everything can be repaired on an inflatable. Everything is delivered in a super practical and robust transport bag . The bag is large, you can store your HIPE First, your foil, your wing and some accessories. Spaces for the mast, the fuselage, the plate and the screws are integrated into the front pocket of the bag. It is designed to travel and without excess baggage in most airlines! The backpack straps are very padded and comfortable. The handles are super strong and pleasant. And the compression straps reduce the volume of the bag to a minimum. Nothing is missing! The HIPE First includes:

• Carbon plate.

Delivery time

We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.

The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.

We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.

Shipping fees

Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.

Tracking your package

Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.

Carriers

We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.

For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.

For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.

Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.

Receipt of your product

Upon delivery, check the condition of your package in the presence of the carrier. A complete explanation email on the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

Despite our requirements and all the care we take in the packaging and protection of your product, transport hazards may occur, and your product may suffer more or less significant transport damage.

Note that the products are protected in their carton. If you have any doubts, simply refuse delivery and contact us.
