Presentation
This CLIP IN version is a real game changer. The goal is simple: keep the stiffness of a high-end boom while making installation obvious, fast, and clean.
There’s no more assembling separate parts or dealing with screws, everything is integrated and designed to be handled quickly, even when you’re setting up by the water with sand, wind, and gloves on.
Installation is done with the wing deflated and takes less than 30 seconds. The boom jaws slide under each strap, then the levers close. The “click” is sharp and precise, locking the boom exactly into place.
At this stage, the boom is clipped in and will not open. Batten pressure is not required to close the system. It’s easy to remove, practical, and extremely durable. Everything is perfectly rigid and impossible to come undone accidentally while riding.
When you inflate the wing, the tension stiffens the entire batten: the system comes under load, eliminates any slack, and delivers total rigidity. Once pressurized, it is fully locked in and does not move at all while riding.
The huge advantage is “0 screws / 0 tools.” No corrosion, no seized screws, no parts to lose at the bottom of your bag or in the sand, and a wing that’s always ready. If one day you need to release the system in harsh conditions, a hole in the lever allows you to apply strong leverage without damaging it. Even with frozen fingers and no grip strength, everything is planned, you just switch to plan B.
No Velcro, no ropes, no fragile parts, no plastics that fail after a year. Nothing that can come loose while riding. On the contrary, our parts clamp around the straps that wrap the entire central batten, just like on handle wings: proven total reliability over years of use.
The tube is a true carbon boom, not a compromise. Built with 100% prepreg carbon, engineered for maximum stiffness at minimal weight. The carbon is laid in multiple axes to better handle bending and torsional loads, maintaining that direct feel in your hands when you sheet in hard, power up, or load through your edges.
The oval section isn’t just a “marketing comfort” detail. It reduces the effective diameter while increasing stiffness, so you grip better, squeeze less, and fatigue less. Your hand settles naturally, the hold is more secure, and you maintain clean control over time, especially at speed or when linking maneuvers.
The molded EVA grip covers the entire length of the front bend and tube, with an ergonomic texture adapted to grip zones. You get the same grip quality as on the 2026 GFS V2: crisp, comfortable, and secure even when wet. The EVA is also integrated into the front bend: it softens the feel in hand, increases comfort, and better protects the board during contact.
Above all, the GFS standard retains a key advantage: modularity. On the same GFS wing, you can ride with rigid handles, soft handles, or a one-piece or two-piece boom depending on your program, size, spot, travel plans, or the mood of the day. The wing isn’t locked into a single option, you choose the interface that matches your preferences.
Finally, the bends are molded in fiber-reinforced nylon. They are intentionally strong and rigid at the core to transmit power without softness, while remaining more impact-absorbing on the surface to better handle knocks. This increases durability and limits damage during unavoidable contact with the board.
The result: a rigid, clean, durable setup, built to ride often, anywhere, without second thoughts.
