Traditional shape

The Take-Offs are as premature as they come, the glide immediate and the speed mindblowingly flagrant. It’s a molotov Cocktail of pure fun but does not demand the highest skill level for its qualities to be exploited correctly.

Rocker: tight enough for easy Take-Offs and maximum speed in small waves.
Rails: Retro up front… Performance in the back.
Volume: generous without excess for ealry Take-Offs and mad performance.
Outline: large through the center with a medium wide point and pinched extremities
Tail: Deep Fish Tail for early gliding without inhibiting maneuverability.
Nose: Rounded Point Nose for lift and re-launch.
Deck: slightly domed to conserve thinner rails and flat through the middle for control.
Bottom: marked V at the Tail, then subtle V with double concave in the center with a bellied under nose.
Fins: twin fin from 5’6 to 7’11, quad quad for the 9’0.

High quality premium materials : super light EPS blanks, Epoxy resin, Fiber Glass, Carbon Fiber, PVC reinforcements, 0,6mm wood veneer, Patented FCS2 Boxes. Materials chosen for their magnificent beauty and their mechanical qualities.

This technology is fundamentally the same as the WCKF but with Carbon over the rails and a transparent finish that demands an enormous amount of time at each phase for a beautiful finish.

It is a solid and performant technology with a glossy finish. Superb construction with modern composites.

For whom?

An intermediate level surfer will quickly find its bearings by choosing the size adapted to its level. Under the feet of a good surfer, a fish will perform very quickly as it has everything going for it, glide, speed and maneuverability.

And after a first session, the reactions are very often the same, because this type of glide is generally a real revelation!

For what?

For the aesthetics of the shape, to have a retro style, or to have in your hands a piece of the surfing heritage, the reasons are numerous. But a fish generally complements a quiver to exploit the full potential of average sessions, eliminating a large part of the frustrations that a high performance shortboard can cause.

This shape, which has evolved a lot since its creation, now adapts to the vast majority of everyday waves. Often caricatured and intended for surfing small summer conditions, we quickly realize that the potential of a fish is much more extensive than we think.

What size board?

The small sizes from 5’2 to 5’11 should be reserved for experienced to pro surfers. It turns on the spot like a skateboard and offers instant speed.
The intermediate sizes from 6’3 to 7’11 are ideal for all surfers who want a board that is cool to paddle, easy to drop, and as fast as possible.
The 9′ is made for those who want to have the same ease of paddling and all the advantages of a longboard, with the added bonus of the magical glide of a fish. Drop from afar and cruise at mach 2.

What are the ideal waves?

Size: From almost nothing to a man’s size, but a good surfer will be able to take it well beyond that.
Power: Its playground is soft waves, but its natural speed allows it to play in hollow waves.
Shape: It can handle it all, but prefers smooth waves.

Which shape?

Pie or Impératrice?

For the same volume, the Pie will have more length, it will be more slender. This will have a positive impact on paddling speed, but especially on the size of the waves you can surf with it. The Pie will have a higher top end, so you can surf a bit more wave size with the Pie. It is also more comfortable in hollow conditions with an early drop. The Pie is very round and easy to drive. The lines of its tail and its nose are more pinched for easy handling. TheImperatrice will show more character in the low end, in small and sloppy waves, by having more drive, and by being even easier for generating speed. The Imperatrice will be the board for a good surfer who seeks uncompromising excellence in a retro fish shape.

Pie or Fork?

The Fork will be closer to riding a classic shortboard, but with a huge speed boost and incredible pop. It’s not retro fish ?

Which bag?

Equipments

These boards (from 5’6 to 7’11) are equipped with a leash plug and 6 FCS I plugs aligned 3 by 3 for solid 3 tab mounting. The 9’0 is equipped with a leash plug and 4 FCS II plugs to use it as a quad set-up.

For 5’6 to 7’11 sizes, 6 FCS I plugs aligned 3 by 3 for solid 3 tab mounting and 2 GONG Keel Fins 125mm. (4 FCS2 fins for the 9’0)
For 9’0 sizes, 4 FCS II plugs for a quad set-up and 4 FCS II Glass Flex fins.

Delivery

Delivery delay

We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.

The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.

We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.

Shipping fees

Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.

Tracking your package

Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.

Carriers

We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.

For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.

For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.

Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.

Eco-responsible packaging

Preserving the environment is an absolute priority. This is why we do everything possible to reduce our ecological footprint.

The most important thing is to sell quality, durable products that will be repairable and will please you for a long time.

For our shipments, we use:

Scotch craft paper.

Final packaging in high-end cardboard.

For rigid boards: Flexi-Hex, very high resistance ecological packaging.

An almost total reduction in single-use plastic.

Maximum protection and impact resistance for rigid boards thanks to the innovative Flexi-Hex honeycomb design (35mm thick).

Receipt of your product

Upon delivery, check the condition of your package in the presence of the carrier. A complete explanation email on the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

Despite our requirements and all the care we take in the packaging and protection of your product, transport hazards may occur, and your product may suffer more or less significant transport damage.

Note that the products are protected in their carton. If you have any doubts, simply refuse delivery and contact us.

How to properly glue your pads?

The question of the pad often comes down to an aesthetic choice for the look of your board. But what seems like luxury to non-pros is actually a huge help.
If surfing is the art of placement then you need to put your feet properly on the board. And what better than a touch marker to know, ok, I’m at the sweet spot for this turn.?

Sticking good pads is therefore essential. They will signal to your feet whether they are in the perfect position or not.
You still have to stick them properly, and some get very creative…
