The Board
The Pie is the fast, stylish, and maneuverable swallow, ideal for light/medium wind and sluggish waves. The tight rocker allows for early planing and a good balance of heading/speed. The round point nose offers ideal buoyancy in transitions and facilitates relaunches.
The Pie’s outline is very progressive, so the highly buoyant tail doesn’t limit maneuverability.
The swallow tail provides astonishing rail-to-rail action and a lot of maneuverability in the waves.
It's enough to put a smile on your face, and leave you wanting more!

Buying guide
For whom?
The Unik is truly the kite for everyone. Easy and light, it will simplify the sessions for progressing kiters. Playful to the core, it will be adored by pros as well.
It's really the kite that suits everyone for its flight performance.
The board offers natural glide and simplicity that beginners will appreciate. Transitions are effortless, from first jibes to tacks. Professionals will be thrilled by its surfing and freestyle performance.
What for?
The Unik is all about freedom from constraints. Light, easy, and efficient, it can be taken into all sorts of programs as a kite that excels in light wind conditions.
Foil, of course, and surfing, but also laid-back freeride sessions, not to mention travels. This kite can do it all and is flown lightly to simply enjoy a maneuverable, powerful, and light kite.
From surfing in light to medium wind, to freestyle in the wind, that’s the program of the Pie.
What Kite size?
Powerful and single-strut, it's certainly a kite that excels in light wind conditions. Far from being a constraint, it's a pleasure to fly a reassuring and maneuverable kite.
Choose your kite following our recommendations below. Wind ranges always depend on your weight, skill level, and the type of board you're using!

What Bar size?
Keep in mind that the longer your bar, the easier it will be to turn your kite. Also, remember that the smaller the kite, the easier it will turn. So, the smaller the kite, the more you need a smaller bar to balance behaviors.
Conversely, the larger your kite and the more you use it in light wind, the slower it will be. A longer bar will have a greater leverage effect to compensate for this natural loss of reactivity.
Therefore, consider these parameters to choose the size of your bar and adapt the steering to the feeling you like and the conditions encountered.
If you want smooth and progressive steering, then you should “undersize” the bar. If you want more reactive but less forgiving steering, you should choose a longer bar.
- For example, if I want smoother steering with my 9m2, then I will go for a 46cm bar.
- If I want hyper-reactive steering, then I would go for the 52cm bar.
- Oversizing the bar will have little interest and paradoxically will result in a feeling of heaviness in steering in the case of the 62cm. This one will be perfect, even essential in light wind. But in stronger winds, it will be slower to untwist and manipulate.
- Between the 46 and the 52, there is no sensation of heaviness. These are two very close bars.
- Note also that the 52 is perfectly usable on all our kites. No kite will not work or perform poorly for this reason. The 46, 57 and 62 are just optimizations for perfectionists.
- It should also be noted that two bars generally age only half as fast as a single bar for the whole quiver ?
The key size is 52cm ; it is the most versatile bar that you should choose if you want to have only one bar for a quiver 7-9-12 or 8-11 or even 8-10-13.
If you want to add a second bar to your quiver, here are our recommendations with GONG kites :

Line Length:
Your Feel-X bar comes standard with 80cm front lines, 19m of lines, and 3m extensions already mounted.
The original setup is the most versatile and will be your best choice for 90% of your sessions.
- 22m Lines:
The "standard" length provides a more progressive and predictable bar feeling (recommended setting for progressing kiters). Your flight window will be larger, offering more power at takeoff. This is the setting to favor in light to medium wind conditions, and for everyday freeride use.
- 19m Lines:
Shorter lines offer a more direct response from the kite, increasing its reactivity. The flight window will be shorter. This is the perfect setting for advanced kiters, especially for wave riding or foil for more agility. If you choose to ride with shorter lines, you will also gain comfort in high wind conditions.
Note that 22m and 19m are not extreme line lengths and remain a fine adjustment to your piloting sensation.
Which board size?
The main element for choosing the size will be your body type. But depending on your style, you can choose different sizes.

The PIE kiteboard is mounted in quad with FCSII boxes. You are free to mount the fin set of your choice. All FCSII fin models are available on our online site.
In quad for more grip, and a more skate-like feel in a small quad (4x90mm for example).
115mm twins in the rear boxes for super smooth surfing and stunning snaps.

To complement the essential elements of this pack, here is a selection of accessories that are perfectly adapted to your practice:
For your safety:
- A helmet and impact vest to protect you in the event of a fall and allow you to progress safely.

WHERE TO FIND THE INSTRUCTIONS?
DOES THE UNIK FLY IN 6 KNOTS?
This behavior is great when you're foiling in less than 10 knots, for example. With a 3-strut kite, it's either technical or a hassle.
With the Unik, it's a non-event because it stays in the air. The relaunch is also greatly facilitated by the weight gain and shape of the Unik. Finally, not only does it fly in less than 6 knots, but it's also super cool to pilot in light winds, chaining full-speed runs and crazy moves.
IS THE UNIK EFFECTIVE IN STRONG WINDS?
But if you ask it to surf, with a magical glide, it will give you a sense of freedom with its lightness that many will love. It's not a kite that you'll ride at breakneck speeds, overloaded to the max.
No, it's a kite that you fly cleanly, which gives you the ability to ride super smoothly. It's especially a kite that we love in light wind conditions. So, a small kite relative to the wind, which will give you incredible maneuverability.
Its impeccable behavior makes it a very safe kite for riding in waves, even in strong winds.
WHAT INFLATION PRESSURE?
You need to consider certain elements:
- An underinflated kite will be unstable and difficult to control in gusty winds. Relaunching will also be more complicated with a kite that doesn't maintain its shape.
- An overinflated kite increases the risk of explosion during a crash and will fatigue the seams and materials of your kite more quickly.
- If you leave your kite inflated in the sun for a long period, we recommend slightly deflating it to reduce the risk of seam fatigue.
COMPATIBILITY OF BARS?
The attachments for the lines at the bridle level are:
- Kite-side loops for the front lines.
- Kite-side knots for the back lines.
