Wing foil Board Inflatable HIPE Pro
Program
The HIPE Pro is the high-end inflatable dedicated to surf-freestyle wing foiling, for committed riding and no-compromise performance.
Presentation
The HIPE Pro 2026 marks the comeback of our most radical HIPE: an inflatable board built to score, send, and deliver true performance-board sensations… without the hassles of a hard board.
This model didn’t “disappear”: it evolved. The HIPE Pro returns with every optimization that matters on the water. Weight has been reworked extensively. You feel the difference the moment you pick it up. The rigid tail rail adds more hydrodynamic efficiency and a much more direct feel underfoot. And the shape has been fine-tuned in detail to match modern demands: lively, precise, responsive, aligned with what’s required at the highest level.
The HIPE Pro remains a compact board with just the essential volume, so it’s clearly aimed at experienced riders. It’s about a nervous ride, fast rail-to-rail transitions, and the ability to relaunch hard. For 2026, it gains a bit more width under the back foot, making standstill phases and restarts easier, while adding stability when loading the foil and committing. In the larger sizes, the more even volume distribution makes the board easier to step onto, while keeping the model’s strong performance DNA.
On the water, the program is clear: insane glide, explosive repop, and real landing forgiveness thanks to inflatable construction. The rocker is tuned for acceleration and pop, with a tail that runs extremely efficiently before takeoff. The round tail and rounded rails keep the glide clean, reduce catching in hard turns, and maintain a predictable feel even when you push hard.
For 2026, the big upgrade is also felt under your feet: the strap inserts are now fully flush with the deck pad. The surface is flat with zero irritation, and contact is direct, strapless or in the most committed strapped setups. The three rear-strap positions let you fine-tune stance precisely to find the right balance between comfort and control, depending on style and level.
With 6 sizes to cover all rider weights, from 4’6 (60L) for lighter riders to 5’6 (115L) for bigger riders or for a more confidence-inspiring entry into this shape. Everyone can chase the same idea: a short, lively board built to perform in surf / freestyle. Lowkite compatible, for sure, but with the right level.
Day to day and on trips, that’s also the point: high performance without worrying about a hard board. It packs into a bag, inflates quickly, and delivers a feel very close to a hard board on the water. A pure-program HIPE, for riders who want to send hard, for a long time, anywhere.
OUTLINE COMPACT
This shape retains the lines that made it successful. The 2026 version has a little more width at the rear foot, which is a welcome feature when stopped and during restarts.
Its roundness and compactness are there to offer maximum agility in the air and in moves.
The volume and width are ideally distributed to provide significant stability during landings. The maximum width is narrow. But the tail and nose (especially) are buoyant, offering extra comfort on landings and an incredible repop.
ROCKER
The fairly flat rocker is ideal for enhancing the takeoff phase. It features a slight front curve to ensure smooth glide on landings.
RIGID TAIL RAIL
To improve takeoff, our designers developed a rigid rail at the tail of the board, directly inspired by the sharp edge at the tail of rigid wing boards. This allows for a clean separation of the water flow at the end of the hull, resulting in better glide before takeoff and boosting acceleration.
In 2026, its integration goes even further to get even closer to rigid boards. The bottom flattens, the edge pinches for even more glide and minimal bulk in turns and an explosive repop, you pump even less and you get air even earlier.
This is a real plus on the HIPE Pro 2026.
ROUND TAIL
A round tail for maximum maneuverability, even more glide, minimal drag in turns, and explosive repop.
DECK
The HIPE Pro's deck is flat and streamlined.
Its pad covers the entire usable surface. With its wider coverage across the entire usable area, you'll find the expected grip in all situations.
With the new inserts hidden in the pad, the stance is exactly how you want it. Your feet are perfectly secured in the straps. You can ride with the same intensity as on a rigid board.
RAILS
The round rails and thick tail of the HIPE Stunt enhance glide before takeoff. It delivers sharp relaunches and instant speed when it's time to take off again, matching the performance of a rigid board. The rigid tail rail plays a key role, making the experience surprisingly efficient.

Buying guide
For whom?
If you are looking for a high-performance board that is hassle-free, the HIPE Pro perfectly meets these requirements.
You must have a sufficient level of education:
Either you have a background in windsurfing, which helps a lot in handling the wing.
Either you know how to fly a foil well.
Either you have a significant number of wing flight hours.
Either you are athletic.
In large volume, it is easy, but if you take a volume close to your weight, staying on your knees in choppy water with thin tips will not be as easy as on a longboard or on a classic HIPE with a wider and more comfortable tail.
So you need to be in good physical condition to be agile and not get tired. And/or gain a generous amount of muscle mass.
For what?
The HIPE Pro is the ultimate board for progressing without overcomplicating things; it covers all light wind disciplines, freeride, freestyle, and waveriding. Fantastic for freeriding, easy to surf, and perfect for tricks, it's limitless.
Its dynamic characteristics allow you to try anything on the water. On land, it inflates and folds away in minutes and is shockproof. It's the ideal board for traveling!
In wing foiling, it's fantastic for boosting your progression. We're talking top-level performance for transitions, speed, heading, turns, surfing, and tricks.
What size?
The HIPE Pro is a high-performance wing foil board. But by adjusting the volume, it can be adapted to our needs:
Comfort
You can take enough volume to float without difficulty, on the order of your weight + 15 or more = volume of the board.
Example: I weigh 75kg + 15 = 90L to float easily. This means that with 90L or more I'll be comfortable, provided I have a good level of wing foiling skill.
Sport
You can also reduce the volume to improve responsiveness. You need a very high skill level and a desire for maximum responsiveness to move to negative volumes, meaning your weight is greater than your volume.
Up to your weight - 15 = volume, it is still possible to start on your knees using the wing which rests on the water.
Example 1: I weigh 75kg = 75L to be slightly undersized, and it's simple. This means that with 70L my board will sink slightly when stopped, and I'll need to be precise and athletic every time I start.
In competition, our team uses between 10L and 15L less fuel than their body weight on their rigid boards. To date, this is the compromise that offers them the best performance, as it boosts responsiveness and makes landings safer. This rule also applies to inflatable boards.
Example 2: I weigh 75kg and I'm using a 65L board to reduce the volume without going for a pure sinker. This means that with 65L my board will partially sink when stopped, and I'll have to be very precise and athletic every time I start.

Which quiver?
The HIPE Pro is THE inflatable surf/freestyle board par excellence. It will become a staple in your quiver. For lighter sessions, the HIPE Diamond or Cruzader are great alternatives, offering the same level of performance.
You should of course complement it with a range of SUPs with or without foils, surfboards for days when the waves are there, etc… to enjoy every possible session.
Which shape should I choose?
The concepts behind each inflatable board in our range can be summarized very simply:
HIPE FIRST: the perfect inflatable foil board for beginners and progression, strapless.
HIPE LIKE: the alternative to the HIPE First designed to take off early and remain easy.
HIPE LEARN: the inflatable for learning: flat on the water, first flights and SUP foil compatible.
HIPE PERF: the inflatable with 95% of the performance of the rigid in an easy and progressive shape.
HIPE CRUZADER: the inflatable “downwinder” for the highest performance in Wing in lightwind, lowkite and obviously in DW.
HIPE DIAMOND: the mid-length board with the glide of a downwinder and the agility of a compact board.
HIPE FREEFLY: the ultimate inflatable board for strapless foiling.
HIPE PRO: the inflatable board for scoring in surfing / freestyle.
Which foil wings?
Our V3 foil range is now grouped into 3 families:
Perf Series for progression.
Team Series for performance.
Team Pro for competition.
Given the program on the board, follow the logic below.
For experienced users:
In Team Series V3, here are our suggestions in line with the HIPE Pro program:
Curve H: Designed for turns, with a moderate+ aspect ratio and excellent control in all situations. Ideal for freeriding and waves, offering forgiveness and comfort.
Fluid H: A radical surf foil with good glide and great responsiveness, perfect for aggressive surfing. It delivers fantastic top speed and the ability to perform snaps and aggressive slashes.
For professionals:
In the Pro Team Series V3 range: ultimate, high-performance, and ultra-fast wings. The Ypra wings are simply the wings of our Pro Team in the World Cup.
At this level, everyone will know how to adapt their equipment to their needs. It's worth noting that wingspan is a key factor to consider when riding high aspect ratio boards. The glide is fantastic, but be careful not to sacrifice maneuverability and rail-to-rail precision by using larger sizes if you're looking for a very aggressive drive. That's why even pros don't necessarily ride high aspect ratio boards!
The size of the front wing, and in particular its surface area and volume, determines the speed-to-lift ratio. The smaller the wing, the faster you'll go, but the less stable you'll be at low speeds. The larger the wing, the earlier you'll get airborne, but you'll be penalized in terms of maneuverability and top speed.
General information on choosing stabilizer sizes:
The preferred size will depend on your equipment, your level, your weight, the conditions of your spot but also your front wing.
A larger stabilizer will facilitate takeoff because the foil will generate significant torque, which will tend to give it a steeper angle of attack. This also implies a more pronounced feedback under the front foot.
A smaller stabilizer will be more technically challenging to launch but will boost speed and maneuverability. You also lose some support on your front foot, which means you'll need to move the foil forward in the box to regain stability.
Always adjust the size of the stabilizer to the size of the front wing to achieve balanced flight and harmonious operation between these two components.
More information is available in the article on the V3 foil range, as well as a size guide specific to each foil on its product page. We also offer some advice below.
Which foil mast?
During your first few sessions, you can feel more confident with a short mast (62cm). Falls on your first flights will be less dramatic. But aside from launching, you'll have everything to gain with a long mast (85cm and above).
More length = more margin = easier = more efficient.
In choppy conditions, during transitions, and in lulls, a tall mast will be ten times more enjoyable. It will prevent you from hitting the ground and give you the necessary clearance for all your maneuvers.
In pure racing, the ultimate choice is undoubtedly the 100cm HM mast. Absolutely magical. But the 95cm aluminum or 92cm HM masts are also fantastic.
In freeracing, a long mast is also a must. It's no more difficult and it will make fast tacks easier.
In freeriding, simplicity and versatility are often key. 85cm is the obvious choice. 92cm is for those who want more range.
In Freestyle, 85 cm is recommended to maintain a dynamic and controllable rail-to-rail connection.
In surfing, radicalism and control are favored, hence the 85cm. But in solid waves, the 92cm will give more leeway to apply huge angles without dramatically venturing at the bottom, for example.
Finally, note that a 1.5° rake angle under an 85cm mast will give you the nose-up margin of a 92cm mast. It's the ultimate trick.
In short, for waves and freestyle, but also for beginners and those looking to progress, an 85cm mast (V2 or HM depending on your budget) is ideal. Easy to launch, easy to switch from one rail to the other, it's perfect.
A mast of 92 cm and above will be dedicated to racing, offering more margin at high speed in choppy waters but less maneuverability.
Foil positioning?
For GONG foils, place the plate in the center of the US rails to start and move it forward a few centimeters when you start transitions (sign of good progress).
The further forward you move it, the more the board rises. The further back you move it, the more the nose of the board dips.
Be careful not to move it too far forward. There's often a tendency to not let the back foot do the work, especially when coming from kitefoiling. However, moving the foil back a little forces you to put more weight on your back foot, resulting in a more balanced stance and reduced effort.
What accessories?
Safety is of paramount importance for the practice of board sports, and even more so when it comes to foil sports.
A wing leash is essential. Once released, if the wing is not held by its leash, it will immediately fly away several dozen meters from you, and it will only stop its course once it is blocked by an obstacle which will damage it in most cases.
A board leash is also very important, especially when learning. It keeps your board close to you. You keep a safety float within easy reach and, most importantly, prevent it from injuring others. Choose a 6-foot leash with a minimum diameter of 7mm. Check its condition before each session and replace it annually. It's your life jacket.
To practice in the best conditions, it is absolutely essential to wear a protective helmet and an impact vest.
We have also developed a range of Bodyguard textiles, which provide additional protection against the risk of cuts associated with foiling. The risk is always present, but it is even greater during the learning phase.
We strongly recommend that you protect yourself as much as possible.
Strapped or strapless? 2 or 3 straps?
In wingfoiling, riding strapless is sexy because you feel free. But quite honestly, your performance is pretty poor…
So it's up to you to decide if feel is more important than performance. With a HIPE Cruzader, you'll clearly miss out on a large part of its potential without a strap.
With the front straps, you'll have much more control and far less risk of the foil flipping over under your feet. When you're starting out, the front straps are an essential reference point for proper foot placement. You'll save a ton of time.
In the waves, it's obvious; you gain a huge amount with straps, including the back strap. You can recover from crazy situations just by pulling on your feet. And what about tricks? The repertoire is tenfold with straps. All jumps are possible, and the cushioning of the inflatable board is amazing for your knees ;-)
Take your first steps with just the front straps. You can add the rear strap as it will provide a good reference point for positioning your foot just in front, and a good grip. But don't use it at first. Once you're comfortable in flight, consider moving the foil back 2cm to get used to the rear strap.
With the multi-position strap inserts, you can choose the stance (the distance between your front and back foot) that suits your size and your riding style: forward foot for comfort or back foot for carrying weight, it's up to you! It's a real plus!
Good to know:
Never leave your board in the sun, especially an inflatable board, and even less so a black carbon fiber board, which will heat up very quickly. You risk it peeling off!
Don't screw in beyond the bottom of the box, or you'll end up inside the inflatable. We supply non-through US squares, but be careful.
Never let your foil board get tossed around in the waves, especially near the shore. You must protect it from major impacts. A wave that sweeps your board away and rolls it can cause serious damage.
Equipments
SCS System
The composite plate is equipped with dual SCS (Smart Connection System) entry boxes for easy foil installation and adjustment. The double holes correspond to the stance of the holes on your GONG foil's mounting plate. The foil is presented with the squares already mounted on the plate, which slide into the rails without disassembly. Slide the foil in, tighten the four screws, and you're ready to ride.
To simplify foil assembly, our US mounting squares are connected by a carbon fiber rod and included with the board. This saves time during setup and ensures precise adjustments. No more risk of losing the squares: simply leave them screwed onto the plate and slide them into the US rails through the four insertion holes. No need to disassemble anything: just tighten the screws and you're good to go!
Adjusting the foil is also easier and more precise with the adjustment information written on the plate.
Carrying handle
The handle integrated into the carbon plate on the hull significantly improves comfort when launching and carrying the boat over short distances. Furthermore, it has no impact on the rigidity and strength of our plate, which remain flawless.
Footstraps
The set of 3 footstraps is included with the board.
Developed for wing foiling, these moderately covering straps don't crease when you put them on. There's less surface area on the instep, so there's less risk of getting caught or hitting your foot on the edge of the strap when putting them on quickly. This also allows for better support downwind (balls of the foot) and therefore a more natural wing foiling stance.
Reinforced and padded, they are precise in steering but still very comfortable.
The double V-shaped front footstrap perfectly centers the foot on the front of the board. This results in a more natural stance and allows for direct and precise control during maneuvers.
With 3 rear strap positions, you can adjust your stance to suit your riding style: comfort or commitment, YOU choose YOUR program. Without straps, the pad remains flat underfoot and you no longer feel any discomfort because the strap inserts are cleverly integrated into the pad.
Every detail has been carefully considered to enhance your experience on the water.
Full deck pad
The premium 5mm thick full pad provides maximum grip and comfort while sailing.
Its grooving Ridge Traction rigid boards are the best in terms of comfort but especially in terms of anti-slip to provide maximum stability and secure support with maximum grip and comfort while riding.
Very different from the dropstitch coating of the board, you immediately feel if your foot is properly placed on the pad.
Compartmented carrying bag
The HIPE Pro comes in a super practical and robust wheeled carrying bag.
It's spacious enough to carry your HIPE, foil and wing.
It is designed for comfortable travel and without excess baggage fees on most airlines!
The large front pocket isolates the front wing and stabilizer to protect them. The backpack straps are very well padded and comfortable. The handles are super strong and comfortable.
Integrated compartments in the reverse of the front panel allow you to store your foil components and screws securely and in an organized manner.
And the compression straps reduce the bag's volume to a minimum.
Pump, screws and repair kit
The included dual-action rapid inflation pump is super efficient for being the first in the water.
All the screws for the straps and the top plate of the foil are supplied with the board.
A repair kit is also included in case of damage (please note that the kit does not include glue, which you can easily find at your local hardware store (PVC glue)). We also stock the components for your board so we can easily repair it. Everything on an inflatable board can be repaired.
