Foil Stab Ypra Freestyle Micro V3 Atmo - Pro Team Series
Description
Programme
The pure freestyle Micro V3 Atmo stab, built to accelerate to very high speed, turn that energy into vertical pop, and maintain perfect control both on the approach and on the landings.
Overview
The Ypra Freestyle Micro V3 Atmo Pro Team Series stab is the one-piece stab dedicated to the most committed freestyle setups in wing foiling, kite foiling and lowkite.
Its programme starts with acceleration and control. Malo is pushing close to 30 knots at take-off and goes beyond 33 knots top speed, measured in heavy chop with his freestyle setup. At that level, the stab has to accelerate in just a few metres, stay stable at full speed, and handle extreme loads.
Its shape is very close to the Ypra Slalom, because the demands are similar: glide, control, stability, manoeuvrability at high speed, and clean lines in rough water.
The difference comes from the angles and lever arms. The Freestyle uses very high incidence and the shortest span in the range to turn horizontal speed into instant vertical pop.
The fast profile keeps the acceleration going, while its power and incidence generate a lot of front foot pressure. The rider loads hard before take-off, then releases that pressure: the foil rises immediately.
The winglets stabilise the foil in roll and yaw on full-speed approaches. They offset the extremely twitchy nature of the short shaft and keep the foil controllable after landings.
The 150 cm², -4° S is the most direct, the most powerful and the most explosive for wing freestyle. The 165 cm², -3° S Soft, 2 cm longer, offers more stability and a more progressive feel in kite foiling, wing or lowkite.
The titanium Micro V3 Atmo fuselage significantly reduces drag and remains compatible with all V3 masts. This architecture frees up acceleration without forcing you to change your whole setup.
The 3K Texalium Purple clear prepreg carbon construction and reinforced fuselage deliver the stiffness, precision and strength needed for powerful take-offs and very heavy landings.
The Ypra Freestyle Micro V3 Atmo Pro Team Series turns slalom speed into freestyle pop, with the control you need to load hard, go very high, and ride clean.
TWO FREESTYLE OUTLINES
The Ypra Freestyle comes in two specific versions: S and S Soft.
The S has a surface area of 150 cm² with an aspect ratio of 6.8. Its very compact outline delivers a direct, lively and explosive feel, perfectly suited to freestyle in wing.
The S Soft has a surface area of 165 cm² with an aspect ratio of 7.0 and a wingspan increased by 2 cm. This geometry brings greater longitudinal stability and more comfort on fast approaches in kite foiling, wing or lowkite.

FAST AND POWERFUL PROFILE
The profile is very close to that of the Ypra Slalom, preserving excellent glide, strong acceleration and precise control at very high speed.
Its power and high angle of attack generate plenty of front foot pressure. The rider can load up hard before the take-off, then release that pressure to trigger immediate, vertical pop.
The profile also remains efficient at more moderate speeds, making it easier to get back into clean flight after a heavy landing and to repop.

RADICAL ANGLES OF ATTACK
The S uses a -4° angle of incidence to maximise front foot pressure, power and explosiveness in wing freestyle.
The S Soft uses a milder -3° angle of incidence. Its behaviour becomes more progressive, more stable and less aggressive, while keeping consistent front foot presence.
This difference lets you choose between radical pop or enhanced control on full-speed approaches.

FLAT CENTRE SECTION
The central section has no dihedral in order to maximise vertical power and reduce drag.
This geometry transfers the energy built up on the approach very directly and makes it easier for the foil to rise cleanly at the moment of the pop.
Lateral stability is handled by the winglets, which keeps the central section highly efficient without sacrificing control at full speed.

CONTROL WINGLETS
The winglets are very close to those on the Ypra Slalom, as the need for control and stability at high speed is comparable.
Swept back, they increase lateral leverage, stabilise the foil in roll and yaw, and reduce unwanted movement on the approach.
They offset the ultra-reactive nature of the short shaft and make it easier to get back up on foil after landings, especially during repops.

VERY SHORT WINGSPAN
The S has the shortest span in the range. It significantly increases pitch responsiveness, tightens carving radii, and maximises pop and repop.
The S Soft adds 2 cm to improve longitudinal stability and comfort on high-speed approaches and landings.
The very forward centre of lift further reduces the aircraft's functional length. The fuselage is heavily reinforced to handle impulses, torsional loads, and very heavy landings.

Buying guide
Who is it for?
The Ypra Freestyle Micro V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is aimed at expert and pro riders who want to maximise their freestyle performance in wing foiling, kite foiling or lowkite.
This stab works at extreme speeds. You need an excellent technical level, full commitment and solid fitness to make the most of its front foot pressure, very short span and explosive pop.
This is not a versatile or comfortable stab, even in the Soft version. Its programme is clear: load hard, pop high, land and go again immediately.
What for?
In wing freestyle, the S is the most radical choice. Its -4° angle of incidence, 150 cm² surface area and ultra-short span deliver strong front foot pressure, immediate response and extremely vertical pop.
In kitefoil freestyle, the S Soft offers more stability on very fast approaches. Its 165 cm² surface area, -3° angle of incidence and extra 2 cm calm the pitch without killing the power.
In wing or lowkite, the S Soft also makes for a more mellow version of the programme. It keeps plenty of pop, but demands less precision and offers more full-speed control.
The winglets provide the stability needed to load up at over 30 knots in choppy water. They also make it easier to stay in control after a landing and keep the foil manageable on repops.
Avoid it if...
Avoid this stab if you're looking for surf, freeride, glide or comfort. Its span, angle of incidence and front foot pressure are entirely dedicated to pure freestyle.
To mix freestyle with radical wave riding, the Ypra Surf Freestyle will be far more coherent.
For a more accessible ride or a smoother foil underfoot, choose a Fluid, Curve or Veloce stab depending on your programme.
Micro V3 ATMO compatibility
The Ypra Freestyle stab is exclusively compatible with the Micro V3 Atmo fuselage.
It is not compatible with the standard V3 fuselage, as the section and connection are specific to the Micro system.
The Micro V3 Atmo fuselage remains compatible with all V3 masts. So you can keep your mast and replace only the foil set-up with a complete Micro V3 package.
Which version?
Choose the S for radical freestyle in wing or kite, powerful and explosive. It demands more precision and delivers maximum pop.
Choose the S Soft for more mellow kitefoil freestyle, very fast approaches or a more progressive feel in wing or lowkite. It offers more stability and comfort, with front foot pressure that is still very present.
So the choice does not depend only on the rider's weight. It mainly depends on the craft, approach speed and the level of radicality you're after.

Equipments
The stab comes with all the hardware needed to mount it to the fuselage:
2 M6 x 25 mm screws for the V3 SuperLock connection.
Stainless steel hardware designed to handle foil loads and marine use.
Simple mounting from underneath the stab, with just two screws.
Quick connection, easy to install, stiff while riding and easy to remove after the session.
Delivery
Who is the Ypra Freestyle Micro V3 Atmo stab for?
For expert and pro riders looking to maximise approach speed, pop, repop and control in pure freestyle.
Why does it use the Micro V3 Atmo standard?
To drastically reduce fuselage drag, accelerate harder and hit the take-off with more energy available for explosive pop.
Is the Micro V3 Atmo fuselage compatible with my V3 mast?
Yes. It is compatible with all GONG V3 masts. However, the Freestyle Micro stab does not fit on a standard V3 fuselage.
What’s the difference between the S and the S Soft?
The S is shorter, more direct and more explosive for the most aggressive freestyle style. The S Soft is 2 cm longer, more stable and more progressive for kite foiling, wing foiling or lowkite.
Why is the shape close to the Ypra Slalom?
Because both disciplines demand very strong acceleration, full-speed stability, manoeuvrability and plenty of control in choppy water.
What are the winglets for?
They stabilise the foil in roll and yaw during very high-speed approaches and make control easier after landings.
Why is the angle of attack so high?
It generates a lot of front foot pressure. The rider loads up that front-end pressure before take-off, then releases it to trigger instant, vertical pop.
Can it be used for freeride or in waves?
Technically yes, but it would be very unpleasant and make little sense. Its programme is exclusively pure freestyle.
