A radical shape for absolute rigidity!
The 79HM mast has been designed on the same basis as the 72HM mast, which is already a reference in pumping practices. Profiles, dimensions, fillets… everything is designed so that your giant wing obeys your every command.
Its size, between surf and wing programs, allows you to carve with very large foils without breaching excessively, and provides great tolerance with the surface to prevent stalling. It can be appreciated in wing foiling for its low draft and absolute rigidity, especially when riding strapless. However, it is primarily a versatile size for performing dock starts or flat starts with giant wings (over 120cm span), and then for surf foiling and SUP foiling.
The use of large front wings applies tremendous stresses on a mast: the front wings are powerful, the movements intense and the expectations are high. So the slightest deformation is a loss of energy and therefore of performance. This is where this 79 HM mast shows all its potential: even with a 186 cm front wing you don’t feel the slightest torsion!
To achieve such a result, all the geometry of the mast has been optimized in this perspective. Its upper profile is almost rectangular (although profiled) in order to keep the thickness on the entire chord. This geometry maximizes rigidity in flexion, but especially in torsion. Torsion is a horrible feeling when using a large front wing. This mast is the answer to this concern that harms the drive and causes strong loss of energy.
The lower profile of the mast is a light supercritical profile, which promotes water flows and therefore glide which remains a crucial point in pumping. However, this profile is bombed enough for its curvature to act like a beam that completely blocks flexion.
The wing fillets around the top plate were completely redesigned to distribute the efforts on their whole length. This geometry maximizes torsion rigidity. On the 79HM mast, the efforts are distributed on almost 20 cm instead of 15 cm on the 77 HM Mast. Carbon fibers transmit more energy to the board. The result is stunning!

This mast has been designed for maximum versatility in your quiver. Its rigidity is such that nothing holds it back. You can use it with the most extreme front wings without experiencing any loss of dynamism. The mast is longer than the 72HM to allow for stronger carving with large front wings without lifting half of the wing out of the water on each turn. It is also great for having more margin without dangerously flirting with the surface when surfing.
The 79cm size is perfect for SUP foiling because boards are longer than in surf foiling. You can fly higher, allowing you to pump and pass through the whitewater without risking a touchdown when heading back to the lineup.
In dock starts, it has several advantages. Firstly, for higher docks, it greatly facilitates the start compared to the 72HM. Additionally, being higher on the mast allows for a reduced pumping frequency without sacrificing speed, resulting in less fatigue. However, it is still shorter than the 86HM mast, so you can increase the pace if you want to accelerate.
The conical self-tightening fitting at the lower end of the mast allows the mast to be mounted without play in the aluminum or titanium V2 fuselage. The more you pump, the more pressure you apply, the more it tightens up! And with its three screws, you are sure that nothing will move. The top plate is molded in one piece with the mast, which allows absolutely no play. The assembly guarantees you zero loss of energy when pumping and impeccable steering precision. 
The high modulus carbon and prepreg carbon layup is a model of its kind. The 50 layers of the mast are distributed in 5 angles to guarantee incredible dynamism. The return to its initial shape after effort is 4 times faster than on a standard mast. And the use of high modulus carbon drastically reduces deformations. The prepreg is one of the keys to the performance of this mast because the resin is applied in the perfect dosage in the carbon fiber before it is placed in the mold by a robot. The precision of the dosage is absolute. No risk of delamination, bubbles, dryness, or excess weight. Total precision!
TORAY M40J high modulus carbon offers incredible stiffness. It is a high-end carbon that delivers high mechanical properties while remaining resistant. A carbon popular in aeronautics as well as for high-end sports equipment. Its mechanical characteristics such as its superior tensile strength and Young’s modulus make it possible to obtain exceptional performance on the water. 
This huge piece is produced in a mold weighing more than 400 kg, operated by large machinery to protect people. More than 4 hours are needed to set all the layers in the perfect order. Then comes the moment of closing the mould, always impressive in terms of strength and precision. Finally, it is inserted into the heating press to compress it to 120 tons and heat it at 155°. The result will be a mast of rare rigidity.
The huge advantage of high-end carbon is its stiffness. To the point that it is not useful to put as much material as with other materials. Thus we gain a significant weight, almost 20% compared to aluminum. And beyond the measured weight, the dynamism brings a feeling of liveliness and therefore of incredible lightness.

It is the most demanding discipline on the foils: the front wings are wide and the efforts intense, this is where you will experience the full potential of this mast!
It is also perfect for SUP foiling, surf foiling, and wing foiling in small conditions, especially with a large front wing. Its pumping capabilities make it easy to paddle for reaching the line up and take off in light winds. You’ll be able to chase waves far out and enjoy long rides in surfing, or have the privilege of being the only one flying in light winds.
The 79cm:
This mast is suitable for all wings but we recommend using it with high performance wings to make the most of it.
It is on large front wings that it will prove to be decisive.
For GONG foils, place the top plate at the rear third of the US rails in surfing, SUP and kite, and in the middle of the US rails in wing foiling.
The more you move it forward, the more it makes the board pitch up. The further you move it backwards, the more the nose of the board dives.
Be careful not to move it too far forward. We often tend to forget to use the back foot, especially when we have a kite foil background. However, moving the foil back a little forces you to put more weight on the back foot and gives a more harmonious attitude and reduces effort.

Know everything about GONG FOIL ALLVATOR CARBON MAST HM 79cm
The practice of the sport Foil may expose you to serious injury. A poor mastering of foil may lead to cut, serious injury and/or including death for you and/or others.
Foil should be practiced by taking into consideration all kite user precautions that are associated with the sport foil. Remember that a foil is long, cutting, and reaches high speeds. Getting hit by a foil, or hitting someone/thing can have dramatic consequences.
Always foil far from others, in a secure and safe waterscape without obstacles.
Foil is most often practiced in light winds which may cease to blow leading you to return to shore by swimming. As a consequence do not overestimate your your strength/capacity : never go further out than your skill and swimming capacities and wind conditions allow.
Always wear a helmet and life vest for floatation. Always wear a full body wetsuit.
When handling the foil, be careful not to cut yourself along the edges.
