Here is the first step: Organize your start
Wing foiler : Jules, GONG staff, on HIPE Perf, wing Plus and X-Over foil.
Here are the key points to organize your start:
To get on your board, you must position yourself upwind of the equipment, that is to say with the wind blowing in your back: wind> winger > board> wing.
Grasp the wing by the carrying handle during your positioning.
Choosing your front or back hand to hold the wing will impact the positioning of the board and your balance while on the board. Holding the wing with the front hand will make the board bear off but you will have a lot of balance. Holding the wing with the back hand will luff the board, which will help beginners position the board well towards the wind, but will give a little less downforce.
