The Sauvage’s crew offers amazing cruisings to its passengers. Sophie is fully in love with SUP and she do it in the most crazy spots of the world.

“We had a Patagonia cruise starting from Ushuaia and sailing to Cape Horn and the Chilean Fjords in the Beagle channel. Cape Horn is a
magnet for the sailors and is a symbol for maritime history. Also it
is a symbolic place for challenges for sportsmen and for the extreme challenge addict. Cape Horn has been rounded on almost every floating
devices: windsurfer, rowing canoe, kayak, kitesurf and hobbie
cat. BUT no SUP until now…
No really, I ‘ve never seen Cape Horn in calm enough conditions for an SUP board, even the rare days without wind. There is always the big swell of the Pacific Ocean bouncing up against the rocks and cliffs of Cape Horn.
Nevertheless, I put our SUP board in the water in front of the calving glacier in Garibaldi fjord. We usually position Sauvage 200 yards from the glacier face and you don’t have to wait long to see huge glacier needles falling down in the water and making big waves.
Catching this wave with the SUP board is a bit tricky as you are surrounded by brash (little bits of ice) that obstruct your progression, and get stuck under your fin. The SUP board turns into an icebreaker… I can imagine my friends reaction in Tahiti when I tell them that the dings on my board come from the ice…. more on the link above.
