The new HIPE Perf inflatable wing board is a sum of details that make the difference when it matters!

Matching the performance of rigid boards through significant development work is the tour de force of the HIPE Perf. Among the major innovations there is of course its ICS plate, light, rigid and with an optimized shape, with SCS compatible foil boxes and a carrying handle. There is also its double woven drop stitch technology which ensures durability and flawless rigidity. Its new shape, designed to optimize sailing comfort, especially at take-off. And it is on this last point that the new HIPE Perf once again imitates the performance of rigid boards with a rigid rail on the tail of the board developed by our designers.

Like the sharp rail of the planing hulls of our rigid boards, it allows clean detachment of water flows at the end of the hull, and therefore better pre-flight glide, boosting acceleration. There’s less pumping involved and take offs are faster.

From rigid to inflatable techno

The advantage of a sharp rail at the tail is now well known to users of our rigid boards. The break with the water is clear at the critical moment of takeoff. On a board without such a sharp rail you can have the impression of being held back by the contact with the water, and at the most critical moment of take off, whereas you clearly feel instantly released with a sharp rail. In addition, the increasingly efficient wings and board shapes make it easier to generate a speed that’s sufficient to fly. At this speed all you need is to be released from the water, and that’s what this new rigid rail helps you do on the HIPE Perf.
