TEAM : Xavier's interview about the Outlaw !!!

Here is an interview of Xavier about his session with the Outlaw 10′ : 1- GONG : You got some big waves during this sesh, but it was bigger the the day before, isn’t it ? Xavier : Yes, the day before it was really bigger, twice as big… It was one of the most beautiful days of the year, it’s rarely so clean and big… We got a really good end of year. 2- GONG : We saw you last year surfing big waves with the 9’7 Larger GONG, which was a semi gun. Can you describe your feelings with the Outlaw 10′ ? Xavier : Surfing big waves require good gear if you wanna approach the session without a care, necessarily, having a custom-made SUP board change the situation, more suitable to my body build and the conditions of the day. 3- GONG : We can see some guys in prone surfing, what are the advantages / disadvantages to go surfing with a SUP board in this kind of waves ? Xavier : The advantage is to be the only one in SUP ;), and gives an edge against them : clear picture of the line up, accentuated mobility thanks to fast paddling… The main disadvantage is the wind which often blows in these waves in France. It tends to rush below the board and to stick your board up on the wave. 4- GONG : Just to help us imagine the thing, can you describe to us a complete wave on a gun as the Outlaw ? Xavier : Describe a wave is quite difficult but it’s almost like a downhill with a snowboard. A lot of adrenaline, high level of concentration, carving, given the volume of the board compared to a traditional gun, it requires a lot of control to manage the board… SUPer : Xavier en GONG SUP 10′ Outlaw PRO XTR.
