Our Team Rider shone on the Brazilian spot with a big win in the final of the second stage of the South American longboard tour!
The Saquarema Surf Festival is a major event for South American surfers because big points are up for grabs for shortboarders on this QS 5000. In longboarding, this event composes with Uruguay, Peru and El Salvador, the South American longboard tour. Absent from the first event which took place in Uruguay, Evelin Neves was super motivated for the event where she placed third last year.
In the tricky conditions of the final, Evelin produced a convincing performance which separated her from the other competitors, notably with a nose ride executed with the style and confidence that characterize her.
“The sea was very difficult to read today and I think that beyond the final result, the girls who participated in this final were all victorious because the conditions were really difficult” declared Evelin Neves. ”This is the most important victory since I started competing. Being here in Saquarema is very special for me and it is a moment that will mark me forever.”
