Our team rider secures third place in the South America Longboard rankings.
The past two months have been intense on the South American Longboard Tour, with three back-to-back events. The first stop was in Uruguay, where our team rider suffered a disappointing early-round exit after facing the eventual event champion. In a tough heat, she waited patiently for a comeback wave that, unfortunately, never arrived.
That setback only fueled her determination heading into the next event — the Saquarema Surf Festival, where she entered as the defending champion. The waves delivered throughout the contest, and she alternated between her Pampa and her Deano, depending on the wave size for each heat.
Evelin battled through the rounds and once again reached the final, showcasing her consistency and competitive edge. Although she narrowly missed a podium finish on her Deano, falling just a few points short, her performance got her back in the rankings.

At the next event in Maresias, Evelin rode the Deano from round one all the way to the final, where she finished third — securing third place in the South America Longboard rankings. Here’s her reaction:
“Overall, I’ve been feeling really good and strong with the Deano. I haven’t yet been able to fully show what I can do with this board in heats, but that’s mostly due to my own mistakes when I’m riding it! I made some poor wave selections in key heats, and they had consequences. Not to mention, the other girls were absolutely ripping — congrats to them.
That said, I’m really happy and optimistic about how I’m surfing right now and how my quiver is feeling. I’m feeling ready for the next event!”
