Waste management is a major concern for us as we guess it is for you too. At GONG, rather than throwing away new foil spare parts with aesthetic defects noted by our quality controls, these parts return to our workshop to be reconditioned.

And yes, for that you need to have a workshop 😉 Which is the case at GONG of course.

We fix everything.

Rigid boards, inflatable boards, accessories, everything is repairable or almost. We sell almost 200 boards a day on average, and we have only thrown away a few dozen boards in over twelve years of activity, mainly boards totally destroyed by transporters. We take pride in not throwing away.

For example a foil whose decoration was scrubbed and damaged during transport. Redecorating the foil to its original design would take a lot of time. On a stab at 129€, spending two hours of work at 40€ an hour is not sustainable. So we keep it simple: the coat of varnish is replaced by black paint, a finish similar to that used on our Fiber Glass spare parts.

It will work the same!

The internal construction and mechanical qualities of these wings remain strictly identical to those offered with the original finish, whether it is our Pro Clear carbon foils, Fiber Glass foils or high aspect wings at 90% Prepreg 3K and 12K carbon.

They are then offered to you in the shop with this new finish and at a great price.

A way of working that allows you to have access to high-end spare parts at a lower cost and which is in line with our CSR policy which advocates a responsible production chain. The high point of this policy is to produce durable equipment thanks to the most resistant technologies for each program and the possibility of repairing them. Like all of our ranges, these reconditioned foils are part of this logic.
