NEWS: THE TEAM WELCOMES A NEW RIDER!

The Brazilian Pamella Ayres joins the GONG team to represent our colors on the famous spots on the northern coastline of her country!

Now a wing instructor on the beaches of Paracuru where she lives, Pamella has led a life focused on the ocean since a very young age. Born in the Amazon, she grew up by the sea, already in the Fortaleza region where she practiced all watersports, starting with surfing. An essential sport on beaches where half of Brazilians have a surfboard under their arm. But her region is also known for a regular sea breeze which allowed her to get into kiting and winging which she now teaches on her home spot.

Wing foiling and surf foiling

When she’s not giving a wing class, she’s having fun on the water, wing foiling or surf foiling. Super motivated whatever the conditions. She tells us about her daily life:

“Whether it’s to work or have fun, I spend my days at the beach. It’s my whole life. At the moment I devote a lot of energy to winging. I manage to spend a lot of time in the water between my classes. I love the directions this sport is taking, the dimension that the foil gives to winging is incredible and, I think, infinite… Maybe I’m exaggerating a little? 😉 Who knows where it will go… In any case, it’s how I see my sessions. I go in all directions. I love surfing obviously but sometimes I want to jump and perfect my rotations or go higher, sometimes just to freeride without stress… There are so many ways to go. It’s extremely motivating. And in the absence of wind I do a lot of surf foiling. It’s crazy what the evolution of equipment allows us today. I started winging years ago with a Zuma and a Plus that a friend lent me. It was my meeting with the brand and what a meeting it was. I discovered an insane sport. Since then I have met Malo, Bastien, Julien and Sofia during competitions in Brazil. What this team accomplishes is quite spectacular and I am very proud to join forces with them to represent the colors of GONG and share my passion for watersports.”
