News: Our website is back after a short service outage

This Saturday May 13th, our web hosting provider suffered a large-scale attack which was instantly detected by security protocols, leading to the isolation of thousands of websites.

As a consequence, some of you could not access our website yesterday. We deeply apologize for this inconvenience. We took all necessary steps to solve this problem as quickly as possible: diagnosis of the attack, analysis of all hosted websites, creation of a new hosting infrastructure, migration, reboot and control of migrated websites. Our site has now resumed its normal operation. 🙌 We would like to thank you for your understanding, and remind you that the protection of your data is our absolute priority, in compliance with our IT charter and privacy policy :

• Your data was placed in a closed and safe environment as soon as the alert was given to prevent any breach. No orders were lost. No data was leaked.
• The SOC (Security Operation Center) validated that the data was perfectly healthy, which allowed it to be brought back online.

After investigation, it turns out the attack was primarily aimed at the server administration system. In this extreme scenario, the host cuts off all access, isolates its management system, starts a new one, sets the parameters and analyses all the data entrusted to it. In simple terms, the host is a house, GONG is in one of the rooms. The hacker knocks on the door. The host locks the door and confines the house until the hacker is gone. The fact that we were off line is a sign that the security process was efficient. The mistake would have been to let him in 💡 We are very proud of our teams who demonstrated total commitment to provide you with the best possible experience (the least bad in this case 🙃). The web, technical advisors and logistics divisions immediately acted to ensure that these technical issues were resolved, and that GONG Space Center was running smoothly, back to 80’s mode 😅. Massive thanks to them 🙏 We bring our support to all retailers who have also been hit by this attack which had an unfortunate impact on all of us ✊ Our data center is one of the most performing and secured in France.
