NEWS: NEW COUINE MARIE RIVER!

The Couine Marie River 10’1 is the inflatable SUP specially developed for downriver trips. Its shape, its equipment and its different fin set-ups allow it to perform on downriver trips, whitewater navigation or surfing static waves! It’s the all-terrain board for freshwater adventure.

 

Shape

Its compact shape is designed so that it does not pearl in the descents of light rapids. It cuts through without the nose sticking to the water. The great thickness translates into great rigidity which limits the deformation of the board in whitewater and allows you to stay high on the water in all situations.

The overall width of the board provides maximum stability on rough waters and the generous square tail allows you to step back on the board without sinking. It is thus very easy to pivot on the spot with dry feet.

Equipment

It is equipped with five carrying handles to grab the board easily, including two “turtle” handles in the front third that allow you to go through a difficult passage in the river, or to get out of the water dragging the board on the water. All of these handles around the board are a plus for river use. Really practical!

The bungee cord at the front of the board is essential when going down river to secure a waterproof bag or to prop up the paddle. Perfect for bringing safety gear, water or a snack. The large diameter leash ring is the strongest on the market. And we’ve added a towing eye for safety, but also because it’s really handy to have an attachment point on the nose during transport, at anchor, or to secure a camera. The 5 mm thick 3D Diamond Pad is particularly designed to be comfortable. It offers flawless grip and allows long sessions without tiring or slipping. The position of the pad on the board is optimized for river use. It will offer all the comfort during the strolls and all the necessary grip during the descent of rapids.

Fin set-ups

The central US box rail and the 4 side boxes in FCS II standard, allow the choice of:

• a single fin set-up that’s deep enough to limit the row in cruising mode. Fin supplied with tightening screw by hand.
• a quad fin set-up with 4 small fins facilitating the evolutions in rough and shallow areas. Thanks to the FCS II system which on inflatable SUPs is a GONG exclusive, you can assemble and disassemble the fins by hand, without having to carry tools!
