NEWS: NEW VERSION OF THE HIPE !!!

Last year GONG revolutionized the approach to foiling with the release of the HIPE by offering a solution that combines the performance of a rigid board with the advantages of our inflatable technology in order to open up the practice of foiling to everybody, whatever the medium or their level! Today we are releasing a new version of the HIPE with even more comfort and versatility!

Wing foiler: Malo and Fabien, team rider and staff GONG with HIPE V.2 4’8 and HIPE V.2 6’0.

The addition of rear strap

The success of the HIPE is easy to analyze. It is the only model of inflatable foil board that truly offers the performance of a rigid board thanks to cutting-edge technology in both composite materials and inflatable technology. The HIPE V1 perfectly replicates the feel and performance of a rigid board. Now the HIPE V2 can also reproduce all possible maneuvers of a rigid board thanks to the addition of inserts for mounting a rear strap. The rear strap is essential for jumps but not only: it offers control at high speed, allows you to be more creative in the surfs and helps to recover more easily from potential falls. It is therefore a major asset for progression and for your comfort.

Integration of a carrying handle

The new HIPE also gains in comfort when handling the board on land thanks to the integration of a carrying handle. It is ideally placed under the hull for launching and carrying the board over short distances. The handle has no impact on the rigidity and resistance of the full carbon prepreg plate which perfectly blocks all unwanted longitudinal and lateral flexing when riding.

Versatility

Since the HIPE also owes its success to its versatility, the HIPE V2 is being released in all the classic sizes of the first version, including the new 6’0. The smaller sizes are ideal for kite foiling, surf foilng or wake foiling. The intermediate sizes are perfectly suited to the practice of wing or SUP foiling by experienced practitioners and the larger sizes, the 6’5 and 7’5, make the wing and SUP foiling accessible to all with in particular the presence of the ADS (Anti Drift Solution) which limits the drift when wing foiling and the row effect in SUP.

The HIPE V2 is the board for those who want to foil with a board that is easy to store, transport and use while not limiting their sensations or their progression. Its construction is very serious for a long-lasting use with full equipment:

  • 1 x inflation valve.
  • 3 x GONG large symmetric footstrap Light (screws included).
  • 1 x double diamond deckpad.
  • 1 x ICS carbon plate.
  • 1 x repair kit.
  • 4 x non-opening inserts and screws for foil plate.
  • 8 x adjustment shims for US rail.
  • 1 x tail leash plug so you never lose your board.
  • 1 x carry bag with wheels.
  • 1 x multi-nozzle pump (compatible with a wing).
Additional equipment provided for sizes 6’5 and 7’5 with Anti Drift Solution (ADS):
  • 1 x US box.
  • 1 x US thin 4.6 ″.
We have removed the kicker on the back of the pad, made unnecessary by the presence of the rear strap on the V.2. So you get on the board more easily and it takes up less space in the bag.
