NEWS: NEW GONG AMBASSADOR

We have a new GONG ambassador on the stunning sandy beaches of Vendée in France!

 

 

Pierre, 25, is a high level SUPer who has joined the GONG galaxy to simply share his passion. He got into watersports with bodyboarding, shortboarding and then longboarding. He’s now spending most of his sessions on a Stand Up Paddle board. He explains why:

“I really got hooked on SUP because the paddle gives you extra support and allows you to get the most out of the wave! Also, when I started, the sport was booming. I have followed all the excitement and evolution. It’s also a sport that allows you to surf and have fun in almost any conditions.”    

Pierre does not only practice in free surfing, his sharp style has allowed him to reach the highest level in several national competitions, including a final victory at Oléron in 2016! We are therefore very happy with the confidence he places in us as an ambassador. Here’s a little peek at his first few sessions on the Alley FSP Pro:

In his new quiver, Pierre, 77kg, has an Alley 7’2 FSP Pro which he chose for “the length / width ratio which allows to have good speed and which facilitates surfing on the rails in the curves”. He will also ride the Karmen 6’10. His quiver is also composed of wing and kite gear because Pierre is multidisciplinary and that is also why he appreciates GONG gear! We can’t wait to see his feedback in pictures and read his feedback from the field. Don’t hesitate to say hello if you see him in the line-up 😉
